Average User Score: 6.1Oct 15, 2013The art style is beautiful and the environments are gorgeous. You'll need quite the gaming rig to play this game on it's highest settings, that's true but it's worth it. Making your character look the way you want, down to extensively customizing your armor and saving up for that kick-ass sword will keep you busy, and where the story-mode lacks, the battles and general feel of the quests still keep me gaming. Lots of skills and powers, and the number of weapons to choose from is huge.
It's a good do for a few hours of battles, crafting and Arena-fighting with other players. It's not a huge AAA-title, it's the first release of a small indie-studio from Gothenburg, Sweden! The game has bugs, sure, but patches come regularly and to be honest, it's in no way more bug-riddled than some big games in similar genres (Skyrim, I'm looking at you).… Expand
Average User Score: 6.9Oct 14, 2013This game is an easy-to-pick-up, easy-to-put-down speedy fix when you want to blow off some steam by spewing bullets. The variety of game modes (which start randomly at the start of every level) keep it fun for long enough to be worth the price, but that's about it.
It lacks choice for the character, it's very hard to make it "yours", and all your weapon-upgrades (which are highly necessary if you want to progress in this game at all...) are very expensive and locked both by price and the level of your character. The AI is so-so, controls are sluggish and slow, and battles easily become just a blur of effects and explosions an easy way to cover up that they aren't all that tactical or involving.
Buy if you must, it's good for a few hours of fun, but don't expect to be blown completely away with the level of gameplay here.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.4Oct 14, 2013Skyrim is great, and from someone who loved (most of) the previous games in the series, I'm absolutely in love. The environments are beautiful, the graphics are excellent even on lower settings.
But the game has bugs. So many bugs. Animations are off, the AI can act irrational and strange... one of the most common bugs is that the top-billed voice actor (Max von Sydow) can't be heard at all, and thus has to be hacked for quests to progress! Minor bugs are acceptable and almost expected, especially with games this huge (you can play this game for 100 hours and still have things to discover on the map!), but something as basic as making sure the key elements work?
I love Bethesda in general, and I will keep playing Skyrim for many more hours, but it's so bug-addled sometimes that the shining light fades slightly and annoyance takes over.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.5Oct 14, 2013My expectations may not have been the highest for this game, but picking it up, it's hard to put away. The graphics are old-school pixel-style which has been big in the indie-scene for some time now, and it may be a bit of a cop-out, but the story is engaging in it's simplicity and the mechanics of the game are great. The learning curve sits just right, and the game stays with you. Well worth the bucks, question is how it does with playing it again and again...… Expand
