The beginning pulled me in straight away, even after playing about 15 minutes of the game I already felt a strong connection with the characters and my emotions spiraled out of control, this is what The Last of Us does to you, it pulls you in, makes you feel that strong connection and it does it superbly. You will find yourself in front of your TV with goosebumps and chills running down your spine.
The game play is brilliant but the story is what keeps this game strong. All I can say is buy it and you WILL NOT be disappointed...… Expand

I was first skeptical about this game and was wondering whether the £14 price tag was really worth it, well let me tell you. You're in for a ride.
Free Roam, 3RD person, zombie apocalyptic atmosphere and all round brilliant game play mechanics make this game the perfect zombie game we have all been waiting for. Granted it is not perfect with the many bugs and various glitches but for £14 you are getting what you pay for and more. I would go as far to say that this game could have become a full retail game with a rescale of the map and a bit more content but at its standard at the moment, an arcade game going for £14 is perfect and just what consumers are looking for.
Of course, this game would have got a solid 10 from myself if it was not for the one thing every consumer has been begging for, they have emailed, posted on forums and petitioned for something you would think every zombie apocalyptic game would have... Co-Op. It is not there and needs to be, it is such a perfect game to incorporate co-op and is a real shame that was not released at launch, but we can all hold our breaths for a post-release update that will hopefully come our way that includes that game mode we are all waiting for.
That's it really, a great team of developers who are quick and responsive with a Title Update 1 coming just a couple of weeks after release. It is a perfect game at an even more perfect price.… Expand

Firstly, the map... One of the biggest disappointments of thisDead Island Riptide is a step up from Dead Island 1 to a certain extent...
Firstly, the map... One of the biggest disappointments of this game, it is so dull and generic with 1 main road leading to around 3 or 4 little villages which are very similar to one another. It focuses on more of the forest type surroundings in what we saw in Dead Island 1 later on in the storyline and quite frankly it's not good, not good at all. Yes the lakes and rivers are a nice addition but most of the map consists of driving a boat and every now and again a Drowner (new infected) will attack you but this becomes very repetitive. All in all the map is just not very good, it looks nice and the environment is very little satisfactory but it does not make up for the poor size and overall layout of the map.
However, the new additions are brilliant, if you have played Dead Island 1 and are tired of the same weapons and infected then this game is perfect. Dead Island Riptide introduces a new character by the name of John, new infected such as the Drowner and Boss type enemies such as QuickDeath and Ogre, who are substantially harder than your original infected or walkers. Dead Island Riptide also introduces a variety of new weapons and mods, there are so many I can't possibly name them all.
Lastly the Co-Op. Although there are 5 playable characters the game is not 5 player co-op, I feel 5 players would be too much and that 4 is a perfect number. The Co-Op gameplay is very similar to Dead island 1's co-op. Slice, Dice and Destroy any zombies that cross your path. With friends.
Overall, Dead Island Riptide is an average sequel and is let down by the disappointing map but the gameplay still maintains that zombie killing fun we all experienced in Dead Island 1!… Expand

The best thing about Defiance is how much there is to do from exploring to the main missions or even side missions in which there are hundreds...
Co-op is easy and fun with friends as well as random people you may encounter whilst doing a main mission, these people can easily come up to you and help you with your mission, no lobby's involved!
PVP is good fun although it is a let down due there are only 2 maps to choose from, however with DLC confirmed we can be sure to see more PVP maps to come our way.
The graphics are quite poor but what do you expect from a game with thousands of players in it at one given time? If it were to have graphics such as FarCry 3 or Crysis 3 then the game would not be able to run at all on the Xbox 360 or PS3.
However, I do have problems with frame rate on the xbox 360, the game just does not run so smooth when you encounter major Arkfalls when there are literally hundreds of players in one area at one time, although this is easily patched and that's the best thing about Defiance, patches... Patches can be made whenever they want and can be made very frequently, making a brilliant game even better!
So why not try Defiance? It's fun alone and even more fun with friends, it's definitely worth the buy...… Expand
