Of course is hard to compete with Project Runway, and impossible not to make the comparison between the two, so judging the show individually, is not the contestant, or the challenges, I think the core problem is on the judges.
The "mentor" woman, she's simply seems more like a producer that a designer. As aroseyglow very accurately portrait, she seems like she doesn't care about the contestant and her critiques seem, void at times. I hope they change her even before the season ends, cause, she's just such a bummer to hear. Then again, very big shoes to fill comparing her to Tim Gun (the guy has such charisma that is just not easy to make that line)
I think the judges are lacking a sense of warm, and personality, so different from Nina and Michael, but again, is hard not to compare to the original.
I don't think the show should be cancel, because this is a side of design that is very passionate and interesting to see, and both the contestant, and the challenges are interesting. Simply because there's not that much drama and sparks in the air doesn't mean the contestant are boring, they are doing a good job, and is even harder to show a point of view with out the help of a complete garment, so I think they deserve a chance.
The REAL good thing is that, there's no robotic Heidi Klum, cause those rehearse, mechanical lines every show are the biggest pain to suffer trough.… Expand
