Average User Score: 1.9Nov 6, 2013While the game is still not quite on-par with other FPS games, Ghosts still improved quite a bit from previous call of duty games, and most notably, from the Modern Warfare series, with MW3 being the ugliest game I've ever seen.
Gameplay wise, especially in multiplayer, call of duty has gone back to it's simpler roots. Customization in classes has been brought back a notch, only allowing 3 perks like in the old days. This is a good thing, since making a class with 9 perks and a knife, or 7 perks and a sniper with 2 attachments is well beyond the scope of the game, and the FPS genre. (take a hint here, Treyarch). One important thing that I noticed while playing: the FOV is very low, severely limiting spotting abilities on your sides, as well as in the distance.
In terms of performance, the game is pretty average. I would've liked to see a more linear connection between performance hit and graphical improvement, and many others will agree on that. Still, I see Ghosts as a welcome addition to the series, and should capture the hearts of many games once again, that stopped caring after MW2 (like myself. I did play the later games, but remained unimpressed).… Expand
Average User Score: 3.8Dec 27, 2011This game isn't perfect, but HEY! It's no CoD or BF. People like to complain about any game that isn't as so called, "perfec'' as CoD, Battlefield, or any big FPS franchise out there. If you can get this game you will be entertained. It's so bad, it makes you laugh. but that's what gaming is about. Sheer fun!… Expand
Average User Score: 2.4Nov 14, 2011Great game, decent graphics, excellent gameplay. People that say it's a lagfest and a mw2 expansion pack probably haven't played it enough, or have crappy internet. After about 20 hours of multiplayer and a completed campaign, I feel that my opinion is worth more than one of some brat that just wants to hate.
Enough offtopic bullcrap.
The multiplayer is great, mostly good connections and a large variety of weapons and perks. Customization might not be as big as in Black Ops, but that was an excessive amount anyway.
The only grief I had, was that the most overpowered weapons were unlocked almost instantly. I would've thought that IW learned from the mw2 UMP45, but they didn't. Oh well, anyone with a decent set of tactics can easily take the abusers out.
Just to remind everyone, MW3 is a great game. It's the best from CoD4 and MW2 combined, and the matchmaking service is working a lot smoother, to my experience. Don't hate if you just don't like the game. Always be objective, and don't be biased.… Expand
