Average User Score: 8.4Sep 16, 2011It is outstanding how they can still release such a great album. The style has changed a little bit, maybe it's more focused on the vocals than before, but i really didn't mind that. It's still Placebo, but they're doing something a bit different and it's good. There's a lot of energy here and you can't really start naming tracks without listing the whole album. It's a wonderful work, worthy of buying… Expand
Average User Score: 7.1Sep 16, 2011I have 2 opinions about this...as an album by a band, it is wonderful. Not groundbreaking, but there is a message to be heard. "Catalyst" is very refreshing, amongst the rest of the album. The melodies stick out in a calm and peaceful way, which is ironic considering the theme of the album.
As a Linkin Park album, it's weak. It feels sloppy, like they didn't really put a lot of work in this. I guess they did, i mean, it's LP we're talking about, but it doesn't show. If i didn't love these guys, i'd have to say that they probably needed some money and it's getting hip again making concept albums, so they gather a bunch of b-sides, work with them a little and release it. Very weak efford for Linking Park, considering how they broke new ground with their first 2 records.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.2Sep 16, 2011This album has some incredible music inside, but it's not the Evanescence we know. It lacks the energy and the specialness of Fallen. Fallen had no fillers, while in this there are songs that really feel like b-sides. I can't believe i'm saying this, but at times i was bored and that's because of the slow-paced and too long parts between the choruses. They are not bad, they are just not interesting. I still suggest this album as a great buy and wonderful music, but don't expect Fallen part II, this is well below that album.
Great job for taking some risks and trying something new, but i was kinda dissapointed considering what i was expecting after Fallen… Expand
