Average User Score: 7.9Dec 5, 2012I am a huge MMOrpg player and played Guild Wars, when the beta was announced I went to get in on that, Played the beta and am currently playing the game. There have been a lot of claims, hype, rumors, and promises from this game. My favorite promise they made was it will not be a grind... Sorry but the game is just that one huge grind, Wait let me finish, while the game is based on grinding you level so fast and things happen at a quick pace that most will not notice it. Speaking of leveling, it is so fast and easy that it might make your head spin. On average you can level once per hour with no problem all the way to 80, The problem is you want to stop and look at stuff, because the game is quite amazing to look at. The graphics are extremely tight and amazing, even on medium settings, on the lowest graphic settings thats when you kinda say ehh there ok but its very hard to tell the difference between medium and High.
They didn't quite live up to everything they said they would but they came very close, One word of caution here there are many bugs, and they are still tweeking the game. Which are causing many of the problems players are complaining about, I bring this up since at this time the game is just about 3 to 4 months old things should level out around 5-6 months since this is the find and remove stage of when a game comes out every Big MMo that comes out has this even WoW did. So if your looking for a great MMO this is it though you may want to wait till the bugs are gone.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.2Dec 5, 2012What do you get when you combine A Tower Defense game, a FPS, and mix it up with some RPG elements, then set it all in Comical Med-evil era, This game. This is probably one of the best Casual games I have seen in a while. The Story line in this game is actually pretty funny, since you take on the role of the... Umm you should play the game don't want to ruin it.
The graphics are cartoon-ish Kind of like WoW, but really does work well in this game, the controls are extremely good.
There are several levels of difficulty, so even the most skilled players can find a challenge here. The fact that you can upgrade your traps is very handy especially as you move through the levels and there are several DLC for this game as well expanding this game even more. This is a need to have solo game, while it may not take long to beat the game on easy mode it will drive you crazy in the nightmare mode of the game.
Also i thought it was quite funny that periodically the hero spouts of random things, making a fun game even more interesting. A couple things that was disappointment was there is no multi-player or vs mode, or even a map creation option though I do Know in the sequel they do have multi player, it would been nice to see it in this one as well.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.4Jul 8, 2012This MMO has many fans and I will admit I do like this game, with that being said I do want to point out Leveling up in this game past level 20ish becomes a major grind mostly because free to play players do not have access to many of the quests. and purchasing all the quests in the game can be very expensive, their is a plus to this though because once you by the expansions your other characters have access to them as well. There are 3 tiers to this game F2P - get the fewest perks and over all will most likely be looking for a new game in a few months. Premium players - get a few more perks but only by purchasing some turbine points
Pay to play players - get the most perks how ever they still need to purchase expansions.
So you may be thinking to your self Why should I even try yo play this game? First off the story line is very good and well worth going through. All the epic quests that take you through the game is open to all players, side quests are the ones you may have to purchase. While you play you can gain Turbine points that allow you to purchase stuff from the store such as quests that you may want to get however this is a very long and drawn out process.
The graphics are very good and can be very stunning. Over all this game is great for players that do not mind grinding.
Average User Score: 6.9Jul 8, 2012This game has 3 tiers of Play Free to play - you get the fewest perks, and only able to play in the Core part of the game Which still is massive. Premium players have bought $5-$10 worth of stuff for the game which range from expansions to virtual items and get a few more perks than F2P. Legendary players pay every month and have full access to the game and the most perks.
The way this game plays is different from other MMO's and may take a few minutes to get use to but once you do the controls become almost 2nd nature. The graphics in this game is amazing. So over all if you are looking for a MMO that is fun and great for casual gamers you should try this one out.… Expand
