This game just does about everything right that Diablo III did wrong/ruined. It was quite the joyful experience being able to allocate my skill points as I pleased when I leveled up. For the first time in a long time, I had a smile on my face when playing an action RPG as opposed to Diablo III which really feels more like work and a timesink and I only smiled during the cinematics. Best of all, at 20 bucks this game is an absolute steal! AND Runic has promised not to charge for content updates :)… Expand

The single player campaign portion of this game is pathetic and uninspired. While the graphics and sounds are gorgeous, the campaign bored me to death. So much so that I stopped after 1 hour. If you liked the campaign, then well, you A. Have low standards or B. Have not played many other shooters in the last well, I dunno, 10 years? The multiplayer is a completely different animal. It's fierce, intense, with big open maps and feature filled ( I love all the new unlocks). My only complaints are how everything is done through battlelog on your web browser and how it's still quite buggy. I liked BFBC2's setup better where the server browsing is done IN GAME. A minor gripe I have is the underground paris subway tunnels level. It does not seem very well designed because everyone bottlenecks at one particular point and it just becomes a which-team-can-throw-the-most-grenades-fest.
Anyway, I treat the singleplayer campaign as an addon to a robust multiplayer suite so I'm not going to be harsh and knock it down 5 rating points for that like some unreasonable people do. The multiplayer strengths more than make up for the lackluster campaign.
Bottom line: Buy it if you want somewhat tactical and realistic multiplayer action, do NOT buy it if you are the type of person who only plays games for the single player portion.… Expand
