For a PSN topview zombie fighter this is very well done. The shadows, sounds, objects in the world.... they all come together very nicely to create a good post apocalyptic environment. I like how there is debris around that gets knocked around when you walk over it, same with slain zombies.
Definitely two thumbs up. And recommended for fans of zombie games or just like lots of blood.
Oh and broadcast+ is a nice use of the PS4's broadcast capability.… Expand

Some spoilers within.
Ok, so this isn't really a "review" exactly, more like "good news, bad news"
First the good. Graphics are, of course, amazing. Especially Neon powers. Absolutely gorgeous.
I've heard complaints about the story, characters, and plot. Honestly, yes it's not perfect, but no game is. I really connected with Delsin and got into his head.
The powers.... oh man the powers are, to use Delsin's words, The powers are awesome! Love them.
And the destruction is fantastic. I love going around and tearing down what the D.U.P. has put up.
The city... again I've heard complaints that it didn't feel alive. I can't understand that though, I love how the city interacts with you. How the citizens will stop and take pictures of out of the ordinary things. How they'll run away when things happen. And other such things. Felt really alive to me.
Ok, the downsides....
First... too damn short. More a nitpick than a complaint, but it really was too short.
The powers.... while they were really awesome, seriously awesome. I was/am disappointed that you couldn't switch powers on the fly. I also would've liked a bit more variability in the powers.
and the biggest "complaint"
The last power you get, concrete, isn't fully fleshed out. I know it's basically a post game power, but they still should've filled in the last slots anyway.… Expand

Overall I did sort of like this game. It just felt like someone took an awesome game and made it as mediocre as possible. I like playing your own hero instead of having to play the stars. I like choosing my abilities. The gameplay was just very very meh. Here's what I think could've made this game a lot better. First off allow you to choose your own superhero name. Next allow you to design your own costume (like in City of Heroes). One of the things this game has is M-genes. These sort of give you parts of other heroes powers. It's sort of cool, but it makes me feel less like my own hero. I wish instead these would allow me to alter my own powers in different ways. It feels pretty weird to have shadow based powers and be covered in ice.
Overall this game feels like it was half finished and instead of doing all the work to finish it they just made what they had playable and shipped it out.… Expand
Average User Score: 5.7Jul 26, 2011Totally mediocre game. As a Transformers fan it was mildly enjoyable being able to play as some of the characters, but the robot forms feltTotally mediocre game. As a Transformers fan it was mildly enjoyable being able to play as some of the characters, but the robot forms felt too sluggish for it to be fun. In the movies and cartoons and anywhere else you see them they're very nimble in their robot forms. Even though they're huge they don't move like they're huge. In this game you move like you're a giant robot. You can only move at one pace, the jumping feels very clumsy and most unforgivable of all there's no dodge button. I will admit I enjoyed watching the transformations between forms and the vehicle forms were fun when you're in an open area, but even if you absolutely loved this game I'd still recommend renting it as it's extremely short. I beat it in just a few hours and I'm not exactly an expert game player.… Expand

Ok maybe that's an exaggeration, but at the very least it's one of the worst I've played in recent memory. I rented it on a whim with low expectations, figuring at the very least it could occupy me for a few hours a day over the weekend. I was mistaken. I gave up after about 10-15 minutes. The graphics were outdated, the mechanics were stale, the weapons uninspiring, and on top of that it was consistently buggy and was lagging every 3-4 minutes.
Unless you're a huge huge fan of the game and have the patience of Job, don't rent it. And unless you have $60 that you don't mind lighting on fire, don't buy it.… Expand
