Average User Score: 6.4Mar 31, 2014The game has been upgraded quite significantly since its release.
The score I’m giving is a mix of what the game should be from the start and the new expansion.
It will give you a lot of fun for the few hours you spend to finish the game from level 1, but a new character and a new act doesn’t justify $40.
After that it’s the old grinding you have seen on the original game, only a little bit better, with the removal of the AH, new modes and better item arsenal.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.3Dec 19, 2012Its very similar to the first game with a few improvements. If you did not like the first game, do not bother with this one.
Personally, i think its really fun. You basically have unlimited power and few like a semi-god running around new york. Free roaming and some repetitive side missions, but very rewarding. The story is bad and does not let you relate to any character (because you play both "bad" and "good" guys), but the main missions are usually fun and the fact that your powers make you feel like you could kill superman with a click of your fingers compensate to all that.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.7Oct 5, 2012One of the greatest games I have ever played. It mixtures art, music and puzzles in a way i have never seen before. There is an incredible number of references to other games (i interpreted them as homage). The story, the music and the challenges will keep you involved until you find an amazing, twisted and mind blowing ending .… Expand
Average User Score: 8.1Sep 25, 2012I played around 30 hours into the game and had lots of fun. If you liked the first borderlands, you cant go wrong with this one. There are more items, more monsters and more content. The characters feel rich and funny, along with good voice acting, besides the "cliche" story. This isn't about an epic storyline or inspiring life lessons, but just potty humor and fun quests (that are, sometimes, repetitive). All classes seems reasonable balanced and the loot feels great (a lot better than the first borderlands).
The multiplayer is great, with everyone sharing quests and loot, and it makes boss fights more enjoyable.
The PC version looks beautiful, and if you have great hardware, you can turn physx to high settings and enjoy more particles and explosions around. This is how a port should be done !… Expand
