The realism of the city and the crowds of people makes this a demanding game on one's hardware. But there is not much point in releasing a game that is barely playable due to poor frame rates. I would love to be able just to wander about old Paris but I have my options turned down so low as to make the place looks rather ordinary.
Also, I find the button options weird. I guess it has something to do with the port from console but then again maybe this kind of game just doesn't translate well to pc.
One thing that really gets me is how much of this game is aimed at being online. Have to be online to open some treasure chests,Initiates (whatever they are), EStore. If I wanted online I would have chosen to be online. The single player experience is cluttered by these online options.… Expand

Yes, it is fun and the emotional content of the faces in the cut scenes (can't skip) is phenomenal but I don't think this release brings anything new to the gaming table.
Off topic but I find it interesting that some people give a 10 but in their review point out a failing which mean it's not a 10. Logically not consistent.
If you haven't played FC3 then this is a fantastic game; if you have then this is more of the same only in a different setting.… Expand

The islandI was so wanting to like this game. Having invested a few thousand hours in FC1 I thought this might be it's spiritual successor. The island IS beautiful, the art work is great. My biggest criticism are the numerous pop ups telling you of the current quest and warnings. Also (and i find this a weird design decision) all interactive items in the world glow so you know what you can open or take but when you get close enough there is another pop-up telling you which button to press to get the item. The mini-map is too far away from the edge of the screen. There is an enemy detection ring bang in the middle of your field of view; at this point in time this cannot be turned off. Why enemies couldn't be displayed on the mini-map is beyond me. You do not "find" loot as it is marked on the mini-map. The sand-box experience is somewhat broken by having to complete a mission before being allowed to wander off exploring.
In summary a great let down.… Expand
