Average User Score: 2.2Jul 21, 2013The gameplay feels like a good third person action/shooter and integrates great mechanics such as the gliding phases or the swimming ones and the tricorder scan feature gives a motivation to explore and find out information about the various species or about the weapons. The Co-op is really fun (not much co-op games are enjoyable as this one) and the voice acting is superb. The graphics are good and the game does not suffer of extreme bugs, apart for some sporadic A.I. problems (enemies). I give 6/10 to the plot and 10/10 at the great Giacchino's soundtrack.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.3May 5, 2013Finally a game that really unleashes Ps Vita's potential.
The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is challenging (not a common factor in modern releases) and really addicting.
The great music selection gives you the boost of adrenaline you need when you're hover-racing at 200 mph on translucent roads.
The online gameplay is various and really enjoyable to play with.
Deserves a full 10 even because of the attention to detail and the perfect technical realization.… Expand
Average User Score: 3.4Feb 18, 2013An average FPS, all the fun is due to the fact that you can enjoy the nice working radar and the good old pulse rifle.
If you close your eyes you will feel like you're really into one of the Alien movies, but when reopening them you will be really disappointed by the stupid A.I., the poor storytelling and the bad presentation.
Gameplay would be fun if not affected by all those bugs, the enemies act like they're animals, the strategy that you expect from the creatures just does not exist in this game, the human enemies will randomly leave covering position and your fellow soldiers are more a pain in the ass than an aid (the worst thing is that most of the issues could be corrected by a proper debug phase).
Graphics are 6.5/10, but the use of lights and shadows is light years far from the 1977 masterpiece and some of textures are so much low res for a 2013 game.
Sound is good in complex, but some audio effects are missing and the music is simply trivial.
The weapons upgrade system is nice and the unlockable add-ons are well distributed.
In conclusion, if you are an Alien fan that can close one eye (or two), you will enjoy shooting some xenomorphs.
Otherwise just run away without looking back.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.7Feb 16, 2013Next June 29 its 13 years since I've first played this game (14 if you consider the 1999 shareware version) and tell you what?
I HAVEN'T GOT ENOUGH YET!
This game is addicting as oxygen, 7 playable characters (LOD expansion), item collecting, crafting, spells, gems, runes, hours and hours and hours of pure fun.
The online is still alive after 13 years, and even if one day Blizzard will shut down the servers you still have the amazing LAN party option (I'm playing it right now with my GF).
You can collect thousands of weapons and items, with thousands of possible upgrades or modifications (such as crafting, rune upgrades, gems upgrades).
The story features 5 Acts with 6 missions per act, playable in three different difficulties (once you complete the campaign you unlock the next one).
You can create a group up to 8 players online or on a TCP/IP lan party and play the campaign together with your friends.
And if you feel nostalgic and want to see the graphics polished as they were on your CRT monitor, simply download the multires patch to increase screen resolution.

Average User Score: 5.9Feb 13, 2013Dead Space 3 is a must have for series fans as well as random FPS/TPS gamers, mixing the survival horror mechanic of DS1 plus the TPS action style from DS2, all packed with a great plot as well as an involving storytelling.
On PC the 60 fps graphics and surround sound are excellent, and you'll enjoy once again the outstanding attention to detail of the environment.
Gameplay is fluid and really enjoyable, with more emphasis on action (as the"dodge" feature) than the previous two games but without losing too much his survival horror component (you'll shout a little less than you've done in DS1 and 2).
The soundtrack is epic and amazing but less "fear delivering" than the ones in Dead Space 1 and 2.
I give it 9/10 because of the final, to much fictional and less scientific.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.5Jan 3, 2013Stealth/action gameplay at its best in this 3rd episode of the Splinter Cell series, really the best PS2 generation title together with Double Agent.
The gameplay shows some improvements, such as the noise meter and new melee attacks, all surrounded by Amon Tobin's amazing soundtrack. It graphically suffers the console's technical limits but still remains a must play.… Expand
Average User Score: 9.1Dec 30, 2012Half Life is a "one of a kind" gaming experience, the kind that pushes the game industry forward. Thanks to his amazing storytelling, his challenging gameplay and human-like enemies' A.I., Half Life keeps you glued to the screen from the first to the last frame. A must play even after 14 years from his release.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.9Dec 30, 2012Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD is beautiful and fun as the original plus the fact that you can enjoy it on the amazing OLED screen of the Ps Vita, with new textures and 3d models. The gameplay is solid and challenging, the graphics are nice (except for some textures that could be polished a little more) and the music does her job well.
The free-rom shape of the game and the 1st person shooter/3rd person platform structure makes it enjoyable for everyone. An amazing handheld experience and easily one of the best Vita releases yet.… Expand
