The story isWell, I played the first episode of this "adventure" in spite of regarding all the bad reviews; so here are my impressions.
The story is simple: 3 archaeologists try to find the Garden of eden, one cool guy, his beloved not yet girlfriend and the good old English archaeologist. You play as the cool guy Adam and search your way through an "cave" in contact with Eve(lyn: What a game with the names!).
First the good things: The Music is in my opinion great and fits perfectly; and the game lasts only 2 hours ;-)
And the bad things: The Graphics are okay, not beautiful at all; the animations are buggy. The puzzles are very very simple, just look around and try to get the solution: Some are a little bit of maths, try & search, 2 times there you have to be fast but all are easy to solve. And there is no inventory.
All in all you have to find 7 puzzle pieces to get one door open as well as 7 chests hidden in the area; they contain words to get some extras on the website (wallpaper, avatar, concept art as well as more background story).
And if you have some starting problems, try to search the forum, there is the solution with the Nvidia-graphic data.
Conclusion: it was a little below average experience, which gave me 2 hours of relaxing and never stressing "fun". If you want some simple entertainment, give it a try but don't expect too much!… Expand

The sights are Berlin and Adlerhorst, and inside them there are 6 different location: they are beautiful arranged with a lot of intention of historical and political correctness for this time. The animations instead are clumsy, people looking to other directions as they are interacting and so on; and they move so slowly what a pity!
There are some black-and white cutscenes in comic strips which are tellling you the background, and there are swastikas, "heil hitlers" and so on that's why the language is picked with German expressions, maybe you have to know a little bit of history to get the touch of this story and penible arrangements!
At the beginning you can choose, if you want to play in sepia, black and white or colour nice feature. The sound, music and atmosphere is okay, a little bit variety would not have been bad!
The puzzles: mostly they are finding objects, getting them in your inventar, combining them or using them with someone or something but there are exceptions: once you play a short episode in the past with your own decisions (that was great), another time you have to encode a message or try to avoid the lights in a arcade-like scene. And you have to play poker, but it's very unrealistic, your enemies nearly do not quit.
And another thing which is really annoying: every sentence needs to be "clicked away" in order to continue with the talk, ahh. If you like loading screens then you are at the right place: they appear often.
One feature I have to tell you: in the first half of the game, you can decide if you choose your uniform or normal clothes through this you get different informations whatever clothes you wear!
Overall I liked the game for its intense historical story, I played about 12 hours or so (but sometimes there had to be a glimpse look in the walkthrough, because some puzzles are unlogical). And there is a sequel but only for those who understand Russian!… Expand

After playing I looked for some tests and they are very different, from below average to nearly very good. Here are some minor observations from me:
The game plays in Plymouth, England, in the late 1890s (I think). The background images and graphics are wonderfully designed and rendered; I like this type of graphics in adventures!
Another plus concerns the changing of the person you play: on the one hand the thief who wants to go to America with his friend, on the other the police man for whom duty and honor stands on the highest place. You*ll play both persons and that's again positive, some persons you meet with the first one, you'll meet again with the second; so both storys are well connected.
Now to the negative things: the animations are not very plane, but the cutscenes are high-quality. There are no funny commentaries, when you combine two false things like in other adventures. Some inventory objects do not appear in the real screen, that's not so nice. But the worst thing is the unparallel acting of voice and animations. The persons are moving their lips when there is silence or even when the other person is talking; this sucks.
And then we have the story: it is a good one, needs a lot of time to evolve, but then it's really thrilling. Even if the atmosphere is not as dense as in the former works of the programmers, it's well written. As is the end: you can say it's positive because of the unexpected things happening there (there were hints for a sequel, but that wasn't made, in my eyes), you can say it is negative because it's very abrupt. In my opinion the end has a positive effect on the game!
The other thing is, that the interactions at the end are nearly zero: half an hour of watching and listening, sometimes clicking but okay, the story is good!
I played 9 hours or so which is okay. Maybe I forgot one important point: the puzzles. There are only inventory ones, where you combine objects from there with the screen or with other ones. Two times you have to listen to manage it. But no other types, some kind of frustrating.
Well, that's it from my side, tell me what you have thinked of this game.… Expand
