Average User Score: 7.2May 28, 2014For some reason it's always environmentalists and religious people who end up hating me - it's been that way since the release of Tropico 3 and it will hopefully stay that way 'till Tropico 10.
The game's humor is fantastic, I had great fun with just the tutorial even though I am a master dictator from the previous titles already. I expect to have much fun with this in the future, because once the very well known "20-fun-hours" are over, and the game is out of new puns and jokes, the citybuilding part kicks in, which is again, very good. it's 9/10 because not all of the text during tutorial and campaign has voice acting.… Expand
Average User Score: 4.6May 28, 2014Personally I loved Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto, so this game was a good choice for me. The game's story is solid, not great but neither is it bad. It's just there, but the main focus should be the gameplay. If you expect a high quality story as in Baldurs Gate or Dragon Age (totally different genres), don't get this game. If you're okay with an Assassin's Creed like type of "okay" story, go for it.
The gameplay is good at most parts, whilst I don't like how the police are able to chase you like...forever. For unexperienced players, this might be a hard game on the races. The rest of the gameplay requires some thinking from time to time, but generally it's easy. After my 5 hours of playing, I can also say, that the police are annoying me very much, do just one illegal thing (even just pulling out a gun without shooting) and the police is on the way because some prick called them. As I mentioned earlier, those chases are very annoying. The hacking works but could be implemented much more.
Worst thing about the game of PC? The controls, definitely the controls. If you don't have an external controller like an xbox 360 or One controller DON'T GET IT.… Expand
