Average User Score: 8.5Jul 14, 2013This is a very good game. The story is great and does most things right. It doesn't force you through long and, for some, boring story-bits to much and let's you delve deeper into the backstory by collecting bits and pieces if you so desire. This deserves a green vote and would have gotten higher from me if the controls were a bit more fluent. I really do love the concept behind the mechanics but do feel that they could feel a bit more...free. Where a game like Just Cause 2 made you feel really agile this game is a bit more towards Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines (a game worthy of a 10 score due to the story alone) in that you sometimes wish you could do stuff that your character seem like it should be able to. I should be able to lean around corners, jump over certain restrictions and feel a bit less clumsy.
One thing that should be mentioned is that this game deals a great deal with the issue of race and racism, from what I've seen so far (after a long night of playing) they deal with it in a very compelling way.
The game is thrilling, the progression is intriguing and the story is engrossing. If you at all like the trailer, go play it!… Expand
Average User Score: 7.8Jul 13, 2013This little game is just packed full of AWESOME! The rogue-lite system is great where you have to start over if you die but your heir can use the gold you collected and the bonuses you've unlocked so you get stronger and stronger. Rogue with progression.
Traits are fun. ADHD makes you faster, dyslexia makes you unable to read, nostalgia makes the game sepia toned and gay makes just about no difference what so ever....awesome!
So, look beyond the 8bit-like graphics and have some pure fun with this game!
