Having played aroundFantastic vision of a new developing 4x! Done practically by one man lets hope he has some cash for a small team now.
Having played around 28 hours during various beta builds, what gripped me was the potential, after various jaded experiences with other recent 4x/turn based games of its kind.
Not a perfect game has quite a few things to expand upon namely its progression, random encounters, planetary troops, ship templates, and A.i. All show signs of improving.
This is not your Sins of the Solar Empire (as much as I loved Sins Fleets system) Stardrives should be even better with time.… Expand

I don't want to be done with BioShock, I want more. A position which most story tellers would want their patrons to be in. Now to critique the game. The Good I feel that much of the game's developers deserves awards big time! The sound and art in particular the composers, designers, artists. Did one almighty polish of this game. The best thing about most AAA computer games experience these days is that they are separate from Hollywood, in this case better too. In the future I have no doubt this will be even more prominent.
The Bad Balance. For a polished game being over budget and over developed the balance and combat design is far sub-par of the rest of the experience. Partially understandable, since in a lot of places the combat takes a back seat to the overall experience (within context). This combat is suppose to be largely about vigor's, whilst there was nods to it, there were no large NPC emphasis. I can count on one hand the NPC's that used vigor's. I guess it was slightly better then constant quick time events. This by far was the weakest of the overall BioShock experience, though forgiveable given the rest of the experience. Some people would say lack of manual save games, i would agree. Performance was a little gluey in some areas. The sky line. I would of preferred a little more use of it. There is a certain upgrade that makes you invulnerable jumping on and off it, that was a bit of a balance cheat, however its upto the patron to want to do that or use another character upgrade. The Ugly Character modelling was sub-par, I don't think this cities was meant to be about clones [maybe it was] I can't tell if that was a short-cut, a convenience or a limitation or if it made sense once you get most of the story. Too much of the textures were basic 3d meshes, not sure if that was intentional.… Expand

I can understand why the developers maybe thought it was a good idea to evolve their game around the notion of "our metrics show" everyone is online, however 1) no caching of cities locally for saves and undo's 2) ea servers are the worst 3) a god awful launch The worst thing about this is Sim City is a rather good city simulation game shrouded in the faeces of Electronic Arts business decisions! The saddest thing is I bet Sim City had massive pre-order sales and sales will continue to be massive! Better then all the other Sim Cities. I've heard of people that had a crashed game and lost their city! Talk about a time waste and a frustrating anti-user experience. Terrible game balance of too many fires (meh its silly really) Can't turn off disaters without turning on sandbox a mode that is fairly undesirable. As it negates the online experience for the sake of the faux online experience. For an online game you would expect calibration to be at the forefront but there are only 4 great works, the dlc has themes for other city types which are bad, and a false market world trade. This game makes me feel ill… Expand

Kalypso has ripped off the 4x community and handicapped everyone who brought it over Steam (TOS: non-refundable) Customers who have brought this product have been swindled. This sort of thing is unlawful. Steam has one mother of a class action lawsuit compiling against them one day. Effectively Legends of Pegasus is in an alpha state, its massively broken, bug ridden, and the features its meant to have are a lie (in its current alpha state dated: 14th aug 12) There is incredibly limited ai, combat pathfinding, technical issues up the wazoo (no vsync on launch or any other graphics options) Is this game redeemable? Take a look at Kerberos's product Sword of the Stars II, and thats a good indicator of what it takes to get a game like this on its feet, damn near impossible!… Expand

* A smart game. Non-cumbersome user interface. * Visually attractive solar system & seemless graphics. * Fairly unique to the genre battle system. * Wide range of game options. Disadvantages * Diplomacy is a slight pushover (i need to look this up as its likely my perception or difficulty settings or settings in general) * Spammy fleets (i think i'll get used to its style) >>>>>>> *!* When I say disadvantages its just something that springs to mind, as I know amplitude will change, as they are puring 1000x of themselves into this game. *!*… Expand

From its copy and paste level & characters its copy and paste waves of enemies, frustrating controls over its run and cover system (binded to space on PC). Its like EA/Bioware forced the Devs to design multiplayer, kinect and dlc instead! Mass Effect 3 leave you with a real hunger for a more then lackluster experience. The trouble with this game steams from its re-write, and I'm guessing corporate or hierarchical interference overwhelming common sense and appealing for a money grab. Was a shameful display I was really looking forward for Mass Effect 3 but I had my hopes dashed when I first read about the script leak last year!… Expand
