Average User Score: 7.4Apr 6, 2013Even if Sly 2: Band of Thieves doesn't hold up to his predecesor is still a barely decent game.
So in this game one of the first things youEven if Sly 2: Band of Thieves doesn't hold up to his predecesor is still a barely decent game.
So in this game one of the first things you will notice is that now there is a life bar so no one hit deaths in this game and viceversa you can't kill enemies with just one hit, the sad thing about the enemies in this game is the simple fact that they are all the same from the first one and they all have the exact same attacks and patterns throughout each level, the combat can pretty much be resume in you having to punch an enemy wait for him to get up and repeat the process, is really repetitive!
The next thing that you will start to notice is that there isn't any sort of platforming challenge in the game there are no more saws that you need to dodge or even lasers. Anyway the main objective in the game is to complete every mission throughout every level in order to steal a clockwork pice, oh yeah the story is about sly trying to recover clockwerk pieces (the final boss from the last game) apparently a criminal organization stole clockwerk pieces from sly and Sly, Bentley, and Murray want to get them back in order to avoid the reconstruction of clockwerk. Each of this missions inside the level that you need to complete in order to go to the next level of the game can get pretty repetitive really fast, so to give you an example one of this missions require Sly to steal 6 keys from six enemies now this would be cool to do if it was well delivered but sadly it isn't instead you're going to be having to go to a section of the large map avoid as many enemies as you can and then steal one key then you will repeat the same process, now it's true that in this game you can play as Bentley (the turtle) and Murray (the Hippopotamus) this can add a lot of variety to the game but instead after playing with them you will notice that the ability to play as them wasn't necessary at all the only difference when playing with them than with sly is the combat and the climbing, both Murray and Bentley can't climb so they're useless in that aspect, in the combat Murray can pretty much beat any enemy just by combining attacks with the square and the triangle buttons, and Bentley can shoot sleeping darts out of a crossbow and drop bombs. Those two differences in combat are not useful at all you can skip several missions using Murray and Bentley without even using the combat system, so why where they needed!?!?!?
To be fair the 5 to 10 minutes missions can be fun but you're constantly are going to be asking to yourself when can i play as Sly? Sly controls excellent the controls are as smooth as the first game and even if you start noticing that there are some levels that are exactly the same or at least similar but re-skinned to look that they're different you will be wanting to explore by jumping gliding and using all the power ups that Sly can have and Bentley and Murray also can. The bosses are also a massive disappointment i mean if you even get to fight to a couple of them, that's right they erase the boss battles you have like 10 villains in the game but you will only truly get into a boss fight with like 4 of them is a waste of space having so many bosses, the worst part is that some of them are actually re used, to give you an example in chapter one you will have to confront let's say a lizard in chapter two you will have to fight the exact same lizard because she/he escaped the first time. In conclusion Sly 2 is extremely disappointing everything just leaves you the taste that it could have been such an amazing game but it just feels that Sucker Punch didn't have any more ideas and the few newer ones that they had were poorly executed in this game if you are doubting to play or not play this game don't play it is completely skippable and it doesn't add anything to the story of Sly Copper at all heck look at the ending on youtube if you don't believe me is the exact same ending from the first one only with a different skin.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.5Apr 5, 2013There is no reason why someone may call this game a "bad game". So let's start with how the story develops you are Lara Croft an archaeologistThere is no reason why someone may call this game a "bad game". So let's start with how the story develops you are Lara Croft an archaeologist that wanted to explore a dangerous island in order to uncover an old legend that supposedly is true, after a while you will notice how meanwhile you advance the story and it starts becoming more complex and starts revealing more secrets without becoming confusing at any point you will start notice how the character (Lara) itself becomes more aggressive and learn how to fight in a much more advanced way. When you start the story Lara is just... well an archeologist all alone in what appears to be a deserted island as she starts getting used to the surroundings of the island itself. The fist kill that Lara has to do it is shocking, not only is extremely violent but you will start to see how she starts changing, the first guy that she has to kill is never presented like "ok so you just killed this dude move on and kill more in order to get to the next mission" is an emotional impact as much as it is to the character as to the player. Every objective has a meaning and a ton of variety within you will be switching weapons constantly and not because the game tells you to but because everyone of them has his pros and cons and they are useful for different situations, you can upgrade your weapons so they're more powerful and better looking this combined with a beautiful climbing/platforming mechanic that feels just awesome. Even after i finished the game i just wanted to play it for a second time just to get more collectibles or to manage to upgrade all of my weapons just to feel as the most badass and feared warrior that there is in the island.
Something that needs to be said is that the characters in this game are extremely charming at least 90% of them and again there is going to be a couple of deaths to "minor" characters in the game that will end up giving a huge emotional impact both on Lara and the other characters. In conclusion Tomb Raider 2013 is just a beautiful fun experience that no one should miss excellent graphics, stellar gameplay, interesting story make Tomb Raider 2013 the best game in the franchise so far, i hope that square enix keeps up with this franchise just to take on Lara on another mind blowing adventure. Oh and the game is extremely violent in different ways so is not a kids game to be honest.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.9Apr 4, 2013This.... This is not an Assassins Creed game, it isn't and im gonna explain you why.
Ok so let's start with the story the story starts inThis.... This is not an Assassins Creed game, it isn't and im gonna explain you why.
Ok so let's start with the story the story starts in quite an interesting way meanwhile you start discovering how each character truly is you start by playing as Haytham an non interesting character that holds up until you play for a couple of hours and you will just be asking to yourself where's Connor pointing out the cover of the game box that you just bought then you will start getting angry just by realizing Haytham didn't need all the time that it was put into it just doesn't make any sense to waste four sequences (chapters) just to explain his character is a waste of space. So after the 4 chapters that take about five to six hours to complete
you can finally play as Connor but you need to play as him through out his childhood, teenage years and finally you can play as him as an adult assassin the problem is that this other three sequences of just watching Connor grow up you will be angry at the fact that the four sequences that you play as Haytham could have been used to play as Connor and tell an story that actually is interesting. after a while the only things that you will start liking about the game are the graphics the combat system (that is really good) and well that's pretty much it no more no less another thing that you will notice is the obvious linearity that the game has in terms of gameplay the game will be constantly forcing you to play the way that they want you to play by making you fail the mission if you don't play stealthy or aggressive it just never feels like any of the past game is just a complete f... you to the fans of the past series, the naval combat is really fun but after a while i notice the freaking cover of my box said i was playing an Assassin's Creed game, but overall the combat system and the naval battles and the gorgeous graphics can't just hold up the raw that this game will bring you if you were a fan of the previous games. In conclusion Assassin's Creed 3 is a barely decent game beautiful graphics, amazing combat system, and naval control cannot make the player avoid noticing the awful mistakes that the linear gameplay dumb waste of story space and various uninteresting hours of waste of time and effort just leaves me with the feeling that this game could have been ten times better than what it end up being if you are a big fan of the series you will definitely be very disappointed.… Expand

The game starts with a boring repetitive stealthGorgeous graphics don't compensate for the atrocious gameplay that crysis 3 delivers.
The game starts with a boring repetitive stealth section that just beggs to have different execution animations or at least a little bit of challenge from the Ai just something that is not as repetitive then you finally end up shooting everything at your sight and trashing the broken and useless stealth mechanic that just makes you remember there's nothing new aside from a couple of better textures that you probably won't even notice unless you pay attention at the ground that you're stepping in. The gameplay is by far the most linear and repetitive gameplay of the series so far is just you going into several different "open" sections and killing everything that even moves, the gameplay in crysis 3 can be described as going into several different rooms shoot every suicidal soldier ai and move on the next room to repeat the same process. And you are doing all of this to get a barely decent ending that can't even hold up to any story of the past games. In conclusion Crysis 3 is the worst game in the franchise yet this is the perfect example to show that gorgeous graphics cannot make a game good if the gameplay and the story and pretty much everything else just doesn't work.… Expand

There's not one reason that i could think of on why not rate this game a 10 out 10.
The graphics, the music, the gameplay, the story, everything is just beautiful and touching even if the console version doesn't look at good as the pc or has the limitation of only using two weapons the gameplay never feels boring or repetitive even the plasmids that aren't as important as the past games they still play a big part in combat i would say even the bigger. The story can definitely become confusing but after you finish the game you will understand that the story was made for you to feel that way at that specific part of the story. In conclusion Bioshock Infinite at least in my personal view is a game that you can't really ask for more
the graphics are spectacular in some occasions, the music is beautiful, the gameplay is smooth and addictive, and the story will keep you coming back just to see what ends up happening plus the ending is just mind blowing it even has an amazing epilogue this game will give you an experience that you don't want to miss worth every penny that the game costs and gives hope for the shooter genre.… Expand

The story is simple after the thievius raccoonus an old thief proffesional book from the sly family gets stealed in different parts is up to sly to recover the five different parts and rebuild the book, even if the story seems like just another revenge story it just never feels like such a cliche.
As soon as you begin the game you will notice the smoothness of the controls and just how challenging the game is without being unfair.
Each level has the same premise, recover keys, open doors, recover more keys and then open the door that leads to the boss. It sounds repetitive but it never gets old because each level and each section of it is just unique something that for a lot of games has always been a really though challenge to accomplish every single boss and every character in the game is just interesting the game fulfills that curiosity by explaining each of everyones history by beautiful full animated cutscenes, even if they are the bad guys they have a background story that you will have in your mind meanwhile your trying to get to them it just never gets old or repetitive and as i say before is impressive since the gameplay and the story are so simple.
The only problem that i would have with this game is probably the final boss, even if the ending is so satisfying you just keep wondering who's this guy what makes this guy different from the other guys why is he so special this plot holes as some might call them never ruin the hole experience but they are definitely
something that need to be said. In conclusion after playing this game you will get the praise that it receives and you will just fell in love with the series as i did, Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus deserves every single score and praise that gets as a franchise.… Expand

SoGeneric and repetitive gameplay, awful campaign mode and nonsensical zombie mode make black ops 2 a game that didn't need to be release.
So let's start by the campaign the whole six hour campaign is playing through different sections of just shooting dumb and suicidal AI that not do anything more than just be annoying then watch a non interesting not necessary cutscene and that pretty much is all that there is.
For multiplayer you have your basic game modes (tdm, dm, dom etc...) the new game modes are not innovative at all and are just game modes from different games plastered into this game every weapon feels exactly the same aside from the way they fire, (full auto or bust fire or semi automatic) i find myself sleeping after playing for a while.
At last zombies is just... awful... the new so called zombie campaign is just the same survival mode but with a different name the stages feel exactly the same and is just not fun.
the only reason why this game is getting a two and not a one or even a 0 is just because the graphics are decent and the campaign even if they are terrible have different endings and choices.
In conclusion i wouldn't buy this game at all is completely skippable it doesn't innovate in absolutely anything and most of the copy paste ideas are just badly performed, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.… Expand
