Average User Score: 8.5Sep 17, 2013Brave New World is like a patch to the original game. It fixes few things and adds couple of new features but the underlying game is still the same as before.
AI combat abilities are still horrible and added complexity off the game makes the AI even worse performer.
Also the user interface has the same quirks as before.
Only buy BNW if you are die hard fan of the series or can get the game dirty cheap.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.3Sep 17, 2013Excellent improvements over Arma 2 in movement, lightning, stability and terrain. Altis island is just an amazing piece of 290 square kilometers open-world terrain. With mission editor and modding tools you can make Arma 3 anything you want.
All Arma games are like good wine. It gets only better when it gets older.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.7Oct 3, 2012If you liked Civ5 you'll probably like this expansion too. It adds religion, spying and some minor tweaks to the game but doesn't change the core game mechanics too much. The biggest flaw of Civ5, horrible AI unit movement in war, is still there.
If you can get it cheap it's worth buying but you can easily cope without it. If you are a civfanatic you've already bought it.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.0Nov 30, 2011Take On Helicopters is a fun and challenging helicopter game from Bohemia Interactive which have previously developed mostly military simulators. Take On Helicopters is not as realistic and detailed as some other hardcore flight-simulators yet the game is still demanding and rewarding to master. Terrain graphics look excellent especially around Seattle center with lots of tall and shiny buildings. On other areas graphics quality varies but that's understandable considering the huge areas of real world terrain the game covers. Creation of user made content (missions, addons, mods) will benefit from the existing creative community based on ArmA-series.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.7Nov 30, 2011After 8 months of the games release Cliffs of Dover is still in many ways unfinished product. Inconsistent flightperformance values, inability to command AI wingmen and bad performance even on lower settings are the most obvious shortfalls of the game. There still might be hope for the game. For example gorgeous c0ckpit graphics and detail of damage model are best ever seen in flight-simulators. Hopefully developers can bring other parts of the game to the same standard.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.1Nov 30, 2011This is a great addition to any ARMA fans collection. New units, vehicles and terrain are very detailed and authentic. The campaign is a bit short but it's supplemented with almost ten new single player missions. Voice acting and overall polish have also improved a lot over previous Bohemia's games.
The best part is if you buy this addon you can still play with those who don't have it. They just see the new content in low resolution version. So it's 100% multiplayer compatible.… Expand
Average User Score: 4.9Nov 30, 2011This game took away everything that made original Operation Flashpoint great and replaced it with average console shooter junk.
Away is the freedom, customization, user made content, modding, atmospheric campaign, challenging missions, "feel of being there".
All we got is bland terrain, repetitive missions, dumb AI, corridor shooter feeling when traveling from checkpoint to checkpoint, magic bullet shield that makes enemies shoot all around you but not at you, horrible short campaign.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.7Nov 30, 2011I had high expectations for Civilization V especially after reading some glaring critic reviews. The first hours of gaming I was happy and excited about the game just like most reviewers. After that the serious flaws in AI combat abilities, unfinished UI, bad performance and boring late (modern age) gameplay shocked me with thousand volts.
All the previous games in Civilization series I played for months after release and often came back after a break for a game or two. With Civilization V I only played two full games to the end and one unfinished then it was time to shelf the game.
It's obvious that simple patches or DLC's can't fix the game. It needs serious overhaul in so many aspects. Civilization V could have been so much better if all the new features had been implemented properly.… Expand
