Average User Score: 6.8Feb 29, 2012This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. (Ratings are out of 10, where 0 is the worst, 10 is the best)
- character rating: 2
- graphics: 10
- Sounds: 10
- Music: 10
-Where to begin?
-The graphics are second to none, the sounds are unique, the music is epic, the fighting style is the best i've seen yet.
-The bad: -No epic weapons like they had from FF13-1, none of the weapons carried over from the previous game, fighting was more of a chore that you had to do over and over, leveling up had no benefit in the game.
-I liked the idea of puzzles, i really did, however the puzzles they had were boring, not to mention WAY too many.
-your stuck with 2 characters and a monster when it comes to fighting, I would have preferred a larger HUMAN party, perhaps some of the old cast?
-They ended the game with the good guys dying!, like what is this, a Korean love story?!?
-To be continued? you need to download the ending, which means you MIGHT have to pay for it?!? thats like buying a movie from a store, watching it right up till the end, and having to pay to see the ending! ever cheap!
-ideas for improvement:
-Remake the 2nd part, cut out the time travel, go along with the fal'cie of pulse being awakened after the death of the coccoon fal'cie, or something! look at FF13-1, it was a really good game (sadly it didn't have HUMAN interaction, a happy reuinion with vanille and her tribe would have made the game perfect) still it had merit.
-bring back the epic weapon building stuff from FF13-1, bring back puzzles similar to FF-10 where you HAD to use your head and look around, add more groups of people to run into on pulse.
-If your going to add a second part to a story, re-using the old characters and adding some new ones is generally a good IDEA, it keeps the story fresh and attractive, an example, snow should have been able to follow serah and noel, as well as be usable when fighting. heck why not collect all the old members as you open up time? then have a epic battle at the end and a HAPPY FINISHED ending.
-There you have it i've said my peace, I hope the dquare Enix dev team read this and learn form it.

Average User Score: 7.4Nov 11, 2011Ratings based on: Graphics:9 (considering the platform is 6 yrs old) Audio: 10 (realistic sound effects) Campaign:7 (Action packed, but felt fairly short compared wit of games of its nature)
Multilayer:8 (Recon class nerf'ed badly when compared to the other classes/previous releases, assault could have used a gadget or two as well, not enough forest maps, maps seem slightly smaller compared to there other releases)
Overall, The game felt like a 8, but i gave it a nine because they really customized it right down to the attachments/vehicles/camo suits, a lot of thought was put into this game, it would have earned a 10 if they had balanced out the classes more.
This game is a MUST HAVE if you are into first/3rd person shooter games.… Expand

Average User Score: 7.8Oct 5, 2010If your looking for an addictive RPG to kill countless hours, then this game is for you. The storyline is simply amazing, in that no matter which character you build, the dynamic of the game changes. you can pick your path, choose your words, even pick your friends even if they are just computers. The story line can be intense, and you even can become intimate with some of the characters, not that they reveal anything. The graphics are decent, they could be better, and that is the only reason this game got a 9/10.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.4Oct 5, 2010PS3 - This game has stunning graphics, has a very creative and original storyline. Game progression unlocks special moves, weapons and abilities. however After playing the game for 6 hours, i find it becomes repetitive, even though it was challenging enough. Could have used a more dynamic storyline, and that is the reason it got a 7/10.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.0Oct 5, 2010PS3 - If you like giant mech robots, flying all over the place while blowing things up, with over 40 different kinds of weapons, this is the game for you. Graphics are stunning, there are 42 missions and parts to unlock for doing hard missions + arena challenges, many different parts to build your mech, and a wide area to do combat in. I gave it a 9/10 because there weren't enough weapons + parts in my opinion, but that is the only reason.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.4Oct 5, 2010I'm not new to shooter games, when i played COD4 on my PS3, the single player was simply amazing, very addictive, and very modern and believable. The graphics are simply amazing, realistic, and the game is very fast paced action. There was an issue with the online multiplayer side, i had to disable my UPNP on my router and open ports in order to get the game to connect online, which was the only reason the game got a 9. The game is kinda hard for someone new to 3rd person shooters, as you can die the moment you spawn after death, and the air strikes can be quite hard to deal with too. But i won't give the game a bad score due to player error, the only thing missing was the option to search for specific people like you can do on steam.… Expand
