Average User Score: 8.5Mar 29, 2013This game is not very good if you actually like enjoying game process instead of watching poorly animated NPC, engaging frustrating half-assed combat and exploring boring railed levels without any glimpse of interactivity. It's a fun watching people saying how good this game is without saying what actually was good (Hint: NOTHING). This game is very mediocre shooter with sorta good, but inconsistent graphics (good fx, somewhat limited models, ugly foliage, terrible animation).… Expand
Average User Score: 2.1Mar 7, 2013I can probably get over launch issues as I did during the D3 launch, but the fact that you can barely build a in this game is outrageous. The smallest map in SC4 is like 4-8 times larger than a 2x2 SimCity map. This is not a game I desired for. This is merely a cretin facebook-style game in a 3d decorations.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.9Jan 15, 2013This game is a solid indie platformer, but a huge step back compared to a original Knytt. I am a big fan of Knytt Stories, in fact I think it is best indie platformer of all times along with a Cave Story. Saira was a first huge disappointment for me both in terms of graphic style and changed gameplay. And I HATE see Nifflas used same extremely boring black-silhouette design. The pseudo-realistic background is not very good aesthetically in my opinion, but it certainly does not looks ugly. But the fact that 80% of the game screen is black is freaking annoying. I am making such a big accent on a graphic aesthetics since the visuals are like 80% of the previous games charming nature. After 15 minutes in a Knytt Underground EVERY FREAKING SCREEN LOOKS THE SAME. The fact that game design is now much more linear in nature that may bore you to death. You are literally walking the hand-drawn line in a black landscapes and that does not look fun or original, in fact this looks sinister. Newly introduced NPC's are very annoying, dialogs are rude, quest looks very forced and repetitive. Basically it's always "hit a wall, go back, collect some whatever, return to an NPC".
TL;DR: Due to the constantly same level styles, same design, same repetitive process game is EXTREMELY BORING. Gameplay may look like a solid well-designed platformer, but it is lifeless, forced, there is literally no exploration.
This game is nothing compared to Knytt / Knytt Stories or even a Deep Forest.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.3Nov 12, 2012This game is like portal 2, only boring and repetitive. I was more excited with watching in-game paintings changing art styles in a different game modes then actually playing game itself. I'm fine with a game being arcade itself, although there are much better arcades with puzzle elements. And I hate laser levels with constant trial-and-error parts the most.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.2Nov 12, 2012This game is so great it's almost unbelievable. Everything is at the top possible quality - graphics, sound, gameplay, everything is amazing. When you start playing it you will be instantly hypnotized. Visual style is a mix of LocoRoco, Patapon and Flow - detailed backgrounds, fluid animation, amazing particle effects, levels are a vivid mix of rainbow colors resembling dream landscapes.
Gameplay is suprerior mix of logic puzzles and a old school hardcore platforming actions with a 40+ very large levels can take around 15 hours of gameplay. With tons of secrets and unlockable levels this value can easily be doubled.
This game is masterpiece, a truly marvelous gem which can rarely be seen nowadays on PC platform.… Expand
Average User Score: 3.9Aug 21, 2012I am hardcore D2 fan and I have to admit that D3 is ideal sequel. D2 sucks in almost every aspect that Blizzard managed to fix in D3. Broken D2 UI - fixed. Boring endgame turning into endless Hell Baal Runs - fixed. Ridiculously **** up melee combat in D2 - fixed. 85% of the skills in D2 sucks and are waste of the points - guess what, D3 managed to fix it with awesome skill system. Gold was a mock in D2 time, you may have 50kk gold which worth literally **** nothing, and now even 100k of gold worth a lot in D3. Etc, etc, every point that D2 has, was fixed, re-thinked or made from scratch in better way.
It was definitely worth to wait 12 years for D3 release, this is superior gem in every aspect offering both excellent single and coop modes experience.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.4Nov 11, 2011Graphics may seems as dated at the beginning (oh man, the caves are sooo fugly), but you will discover soon what amazing work had developers put into the scenery and interiors design. And it works quite smooth on my old mid-end hardware. Annoying loot and mobs leveling seems to be fixed now, since loot is more rare and mobs are more dangerous.
Skyrim doesn't force you to follow main story line as Oblivion did, and you are free to travel around from the beginning.
Controls are somewhat limited on PC (and hotkeys are TERRIBLE), but it seems as I can cope with it.
The game is like a Morrowind on the steroids. It's a bit more free, more open-world, less generic-medieval than Oblivion. AI is less annoying, dialogs are well-written, voice acting is terrific and everything seems much more alive.
This game is indeed a big step forward both in the terms of the gameplay and design. Long live the king!… Expand
