The new game engine looks great, and gives a more fluid appearance in gameplay then previous iterations of Madden. The other portion is the game gives you a great deal of feedback; after each game in career mode fake headlines and tweets tell you about that weeks actions.
The UI is more intuitive and easier to use. I can find settings, stats, rosters, etc in an easier, organized manner. Big plus to that. A fair amount of customization was taken out of the game, but looking at it most of them have been hardly used and catering to a "niche" audience. As usual EA has online features to include weekly game challenges from events that occurred in the NFL, updated rosters and patches. My favorite feature is how they dropped the really out of place soundtracks that previous games used stock, NFL tracks. I know that seems like a very odd thing to say, but the soundtracks provided just felt out of place; when you're trying to immerse the gamer, little things like that can be jarring.
