Average User Score: 4.3Oct 1, 2013How to score a goal in FIFA14:
1) Make a diagonal run with the ball
2) Play a Lobbed through ball over the top to a pacey winger
3) Pacey winger outpaces the fullback
4) Play in a perfect cross no matter how terrible the player is at crossing
5) The Big Centre Forward heads it into the net.
Honestly this is worse than FIFA08 when all you had to do was sprint to the line and pass sideways to score.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.0May 29, 2013If you're thinking about buying this at full retail, I really wouldn't. I knew it would be an open ended title where you would just wonder around the place, but it became really boring really quickly because there was nothing to interact with, even something small would have been nice.
Saying that, the music was soothing, and the landscapes were nice to look at.
I certainly wouldn't have paid full price for this, and I'm glad I got it in the humble bundle, to me, it's just another pretentious indie art game, or maybe I'm just missing something.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.6Feb 22, 2013Cutscene, shooting gallery, bulletime. Rinse and repeat. The story was average, and so was the game play, and the fact that if you couldn't get past one point you could just restart it with full health and a couple extra painkillers really bugged the hell out of me, it took away the challenge.
The one redeeming feature is that it's not a terrible PC port.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.3Jun 7, 2012This is not what video games are meant to be about, Because, y'know, you buy video games to have fun, right? Well at least I do anyway. Although this game has some lovely visuals and music fitting to an 8bit retro throw back, I find the whole thing highly pretentious and dull. I'm glad that I got this from a humble bundle, otherwise I would have felt more inclined to give this game an even worse review.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.9Jun 2, 2012This is the first DiRT game I've managed to play, as I got a voucher for it with my AMD GPU. It's very unlike the old Colin McRae games (the last one I played was 2005 on the PS2), however that said it really isn't his game anymore. But Regardless, I've really enjoyed the experiences I've had with this game, the new game modes added are a lot of fun, particularly the head to head races, and even the standard rally phases are a blast. The visuals of this game are also fantastic when ran at maximum which gives a super sharp picture. However the only problem with the PC version is the awkwardness of the keyboard controlls, but luckily I have a game pad which does the trick. Another downside to this game is the mass amounts of paid DLC required to unlock cars and rally stages which I feel should have been included into the game in the first place.
Overall, A good game with nice visuals.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.0Jun 2, 2012Dull, short and easy. The sounds, although atmospheric, I felt added nothing of real value to the game, it may as well have been silent, the only saving grace for this game is the art direction. Not worth the full retail price and I'm glad I got it in the humble bundle on the cheap.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.5Feb 9, 2012Pretty fun Multiplayer, the visuals are very pleasing to the eye too, couple of little niggles here and there and the trailers did oversell it a little. It does have the feel of Call of Duty, but with a whackier atmoshphere and characters.… Expand
Average User Score: 2.4Feb 9, 2012I don't really know how they've managed it, but they've released a game with even less features than the last. I am aware that black ops and Modern warfare 3 were made by different developers, the amount of new online options that black ops introduced just makes MW3 look pretty small time. The story line in this installment is the worst of the three, a lot of it doesn't link up properly, or you're character is thrown in at the beginning of every mission via typical helicopter crash which left me pretty confused as to what was going on.
Now for the Online, I don't think I really need to go over what I said earlier about the lack of features, however it really can't be ignored, Why didn't Infinity Ward just take a page out of Treyarch's book and try to do something different with the franchise instead of just spewing out the same **** for 3 games? But seriously, I could have played the new MW3 multiplayer and thought it was a new DLC pack for MW2 if somebody told me it was.
I got this game on sale for £20, and I feel like it was £10 too much for what is essentially an expansion pack onto the last two games. I think it's laughable that the Modern Warfare Call of Duty games can even be considered a series. It is essentially an online multiplayer with a terrible and badly written story stuck on the side with blu tac. If you're looking for a fun, online multiplayer game, I'd suggest looking at Counter Strike, Team fortress 2 (free to play), or Gotham City Imposters, all cheaper and much more fun to be had.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.6Nov 20, 2011First off, I love this game, and everything about it, the art style, the voices, the characters and the maps, all great. In this installment all of the campaigns link up, and make sense (if you play them in the correct order that is) which is a vast improvement from the previous title. The addition of the new infect characters really add a different swing into your play, as you now have to take into account the spitter, which can deal great deals of damage to stationary players and the charger, which can and will boul through your team and split you up as you try to navigate your way to the safe room. The best thing about this game is the competitive edge that the Versus mode gives you, and the ability to play as the infected is a great experience.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.6Nov 20, 2011having played this game extensively now, I feel I've gauged it enough to give my opinion. Raging blast 2 is a very basic fighter, with a few differences, mainly being the ability to roam and fight through destructable environments instead of being stuck to a 2d platform. My main beef with this game is just how easy it is to do everything, combo's are certainly lacking, and you get the same effect from smashing the buttons on your game pad at random, as you would from attemping to pull off a combo correctly. Instead of a story mode, you find "Galaxy" mode, which ammounts to progressing through stages until you reach a boss battle, no secret on innovative formula's put to use here, as i've said, it's very basic.
I was told you would need to be a fan on DBZ to enjoy this game. However I am a fan, a huge one, but I found this game very dull from the offset. It certainly sits in the shadow of Ultimate Tenkaichi.… Expand
