I had cancelled my pre ordered, but decided I would pre order it again a few days before it's release. I had worries that the handling of cars wouldn't be done right, which for me is a game breaker in an open world game and I was correct, the cars feel underpowered, I hate that it burnouts every time you smash the throttle, it just doesn't feel right having to slowly increase the pressure on R2. The controller rarely vibrates and the cars bounce off objects like they're made of rubber. Even the little things, like driving into the water and he instantly jumps out instead of potentially drowning. It's like the first few 3D GTA's, they just didn't have everything right at the time.
The story is boring and does very little when trying to invoke feelings towards the character(s), voice acting is dull, especially that BadBoy character *knock off Batman voice*, the lip sync is terrible, hacking doesn't go deep enough for my liking and I found the map wasn't very well designed, areas such as city and rural are too close, highways are short, the whole map seems to compact.
Very disappointed, I'm returning the game this weekend while I can still salvage some money for it. Maybe buy it when it's in the bargain bin. not worth the 69.99 price I had to pay in Canada...… Expand

Sure, if you ONLY love swinging around the city this game is for you... Other than swinging around there is little substance to the game, it's extremely repetitive; save citizens, get your picture taken, chasing the same car in every high speed chase...
The graphics are blah, cutscenes are horrid, story is short, bosses suck and it's the same timing based prompt triangle, circle, X, square system that I HATE.
Hardcore spider man fans should like it, but there isn't enough there for me to recommend somebody else buying the game.… Expand

People really have to leave biased opinion out of a game review, if it has errors it isn't perfect, therefore is shouldn't get a 10, on the oither hand giving a game a 0 is complete retardation.
I've never been a fan of Diablo, but decided to give it a shot and I was pleasntly pleased. It has many good features and can keep one amused for hours on end. The story I found somewhat lacks, maybe due to the fact I didn't play previous diablo's but the gameplay more than makes up for that.
I encountered many of the game breaking glitches as others have mentioned, some were fixed, but rushed development and releasing an unfinished game has to have some consequence against the final score.
A solid 8, hopefully with patches the game can climb into a 9, I consider anybody giving this game a 10 a "fanboy" there are issues that can't be overlooked, it is far from perfect. I wonder how much Blizzard pays the gaming companies to score so many 10's when fans playing the game looks seriously upset.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.8May 9, 2012SINGLEPLAYER:
Starhawk isn't about a long drawn out story that invokes ones feelings, as mentioned before, the campaign is more of a tutorial for multiplayer. With that being said, I personally found singleplayer addictive; trying to juggle between placing buildings, killing enemies and getting rift energy was fun and kept me on my toes. I suggest playing on mercenary difficulty as it becomes of a beast of a game to beat, much nicer than recent shooters cake walk campaigns.
The only thing holding Starhawk back is it's singleplayer, but lets face it, who buys a shooting game for it's campaign? Multiplayer in Starhawk is nothing short of amazing, team work isn't a must but it sure helps, being able to alter the landscape by placing your own buildings is awesome and adds that needed dimension missing in most shooters. Oddly enough these so called critic's that review games for a living, the same ones complaining the shooter market is stale and needs something new, deducts score for a developer trying something that's never been done before.
Graphics are awesome, controls are different (layout) but work well when you get use to them, multiplayer is great, -1 for story
If you own a PS3 pick this game up, you won't be dissappointed!… Expand
