All the perks and unlocks just favour those who are able to spend all day and night on the game. To me Titanfall is the perfect compromise. Yes you can get your prestige, sorry I mean "generation" up as high as you like.. but the basic gear is all so well balanced that even a newbie on rank 1 can hand you a smack down. The titans too are great for this.. EVERYONE gets a go, no camping a spawn point to get a killstreak here.. just play the game and you get a massive toy to play with.
For me there is no comparison, Titanfall is the best multiplayer FPS I've played since the original counterstrike 1.6. Ok so the modes are a bit limited but that doesn't bother me at all as I find a lot of games have hardly anyone playing most modes, all it does is split the player base up further.
I do miss the world building provided by single player as its a great universe with a lot of potential, but given the terrible single player modes of all the recent COD / BFs I'm quite happy to go elsewhere for that.
I was disappointed that the recent patch reduced XP gain from actually following objectives.. this was a great plus for me as it gave players an incentive to actually try and defend a hardpoint or capture a flag rather than just kill stuff. I'm hopeful they will revert at least some of this change.
I know player numbers were also looked down on but I find that 6v6 is a really good balancing point. I'll agree the AI is a bit dozy at times but even that has its good points as the AI soldiers really make you feel part of a bigger battle.
Overall I'm happy to say that Titanfall is a great game, I'm actually looking forward to the DLC for a change but will wait on a season pass till I see the quality of the content (Dead Rising 3, I'm looking at you here!!)… Expand
