turning speed is just too damn high.
also every time you pick up an object and look at it, the perspective of everything gets messed up, when you finish reading it snaps back. I am quite sure, not even the most VR-sickness resistent user can live with this through all of the game!
this review and rating concerns the use of VR and in that, Albino Lullaby fails miserably.… Expand

as with most of the games specifically created for use with the OCULUS RIFT, you cannot "test" the games before you buy - yes, I'm talking about PIRACY - which is the perfect tool to prevent gamers from spending 30€ on a lousy brawler, as is the case here.
now, don't give me $h1t for openly admitting to software piracy, for my STEAM library counts over 500 games, that I have bought over the years.
If developers would provide us with DEMOS again - and I mean real, acurate demos of what's to come in the full version, I wouldn't have to rely on piracy, just to take a peak into the game and to make sure, that game xyz runs well with my system!
but, since developers prefer to making us pre-order their **** games, just so we can receive some **** cosmetic DLC and CRY afterwards, because we've spent X amount of money on a game that clearly wasn't worth it...… Expand

it really gives you a deep sense of placement and when you "hack" the internet or play arcade games, you are playing a game within a game and it's pretty much the coolest and weirdest thing, PC games can make you feel.
the soundtrack is fantastic, though some of the ever-ärepeating ads can get on your nerves.
long story short, if you own an Oculus Rift and you like CYBERPUNK - or evben just exceptional oculus experiences, then this game is a MUST HAVE!

Average User Score: 4.5Apr 15, 2016Windows 10 required... so, because I was very interested in the game and I liked the concept, I downloaded my "free" windows 10, because IWindows 10 required... so, because I was very interested in the game and I liked the concept, I downloaded my "free" windows 10, because I wanted to install it, as a secondary OS...
not possible, because, "microsoft".
so, I had to put Windows 10 on a separate HDD, in order to have a kind of dual OS, only I have to select which drive to boot with via BIOS...
so, tried out this game, it runs like pure and utter **** graphics at 720p, running at 30 fps? in 2016, REALLY?!
in that case, microsoft can (and will have to) KISS my A§$!
ultimately, I immediately deleted the game, as well as Windows 10 from either of my drives. nobody needs this crap and especially we "gamers" should NOT stand for this ****!
very badly optimized games are one thing, but making games on PC, that can't play @ 60 fps and in 720p?! not cool... but, when it comes to BLOCKING users from modifying the games, that they have bought, my patience with that company comes to an abrupt end!
screw this! screw that game, screw Windows 10 and **** Microsoft, for pulling this BULL$HIT off with us!
they are still treating PC gamers, as if we were dumb little kids!
sure, they pull this off with console gamers and though that's wrong, too, they let microsoft gladly do it to them! with PC gamers, though, we do not take kindly to this sort of thing!
so, from me, that is a ZERO! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT EVEN PIRATE!… Expand

but, the best thing about this game, is the MUSIC! I could listen to the soundtrack for hours!

apart from enemies.
unfortunately, the story, dialogue, quests and characters are boring and bland. and there are no more strange encounters, no absurd situations... they should have given the game another name, for it's not really a Fallout game.
those games have been about all the crazy crazy things that happened in the wasteland and the strange people inhabiting it!
graphics are fine, but they don't make a good RPG.
so the fact remains, if you want a FPS Fallout, you best play New Vegas!… Expand

Average User Score: 7.7Sep 5, 2015I really do NOT trust classic reviews, for I have come to believe that, to stay cozy with the publishers, magazines and online publicationsI really do NOT trust classic reviews, for I have come to believe that, to stay cozy with the publishers, magazines and online publications alike, almost never talk about the issues a AAA release has - except for when they are as extreme as Batman: Arkham Knight maybe...
that said, I looked at the worst magazine/online review from a "professional" publication, which was IGN. read the thing and thought that all the cons listed would be things I could generally cope with, IF ONLY THE VEHICULAR COMBAT WERE ANY GOOD!
after that, I checked, whether the PC port were okay, thought it and quickly came to realize my favourite youtuber, "TotalBiscuit", had just uploaded a "port report" and it said it were an exceptionally great port!
last, but not least, I searched for a cheaper key and found one without any hassle. for the small price of only 17€ ($19) I immediately took the deal. it's not even some ominous RUssian key, which would require using a VPN to install and play, but an ordinary worldwide accepted key. I don't do RU keys anymore!
so, what to expect abnout the game? dunno what YOU should expect - I for once was just wishing for decent vehicular combat, or "car fights", for my idiotic friends from America. ;)
the last, perhaps even the ONLY game, which had pulled those off adequately, is
and that game had been released in 1997 or '96, if I remember correctly. I think it was spring 1997. anyway, until that game was released, there hadn't been any games pulling vehicular combat right. also, it was the dawning age of "3D accellerator cards". :) (Diamond Monster anyone?)
unfortunately, after "Interstate '76", there hasn't been ANY games even trying to implement vehicular combat - not counting tanks!
"Mad Max" at least tries it and where it tries, it succeeds. the graphics and performance, as well as the sound design and art style are VERY good; the melee combat is just the same "dumbed down" bullcrap that everybody knows from the "Assassin's Creed" franchise, nothing special, but not too bad. it fulfills its purpose. thze biggest strengths of the game are the driving and the vehicular combat. also, its graphical fidelity, which is really high and the port is one of the best ever!
you can check my other reviews on metacritic and you will see, I am not one to give out praise easily!
where the game is lacking is the story!
side missions are quickly becomming boring and the main quest is sub par as well, then again, all the "Mad Max" movies NEVER had a particularly great story and this title clearly is no gamechanger.
I give it 8/10 points and recommend either waiting for a sale, or searching a key shop, where you buy it for around 20 $/€.
if I would have had paid 50 or even 60 $/€, I would have been a bit disapointed, I have to admit. but just a little, better say, I would be "underwhelmed", maybe,..
summarizing it up, long story short: if you search for VEHICULAR COMBAT, this game pulls it off quite nicely!
fans of the "Mad Max" franchis will probably be satisfied as well, I guess... (?);
people, who always thought, "if my Ass. Creed only had cars to drive around...(and onto towers)"will be happy with it, I guess - even though I haven't found ANY towers in Mad Max yet... so they might hate it for that reason... I have no idea how Assassin's Creed fanboys/MORONS think, so who can tell.
I give it 8/10 - if they patch in some more things, put even more focus on the vehicular combat in the future,. and/or release some actually GOOD story DLC, I might revise my review and give it even more than these innitial 8/10 points.… Expand

that is wrong and it should NOT happen, for the original "Carmageddon" is a great game!
sure, graphics have aged, a lot, but then again, you mustn't forget that this game is not 10, but 18(!) - EIGHTEEN! - years old.
that is almost 20 - TWENTY **** years!
"Carmageddon" was great fun at the time and it still is, if you can get over its looks.
opponent AI is weak and gameplay gets repetetive at times, but is deeply satisfying to literally CRUSH your opponents down, throw them into a pool of acid and "steal" their laps.
I remember playing this with a friend - split-screen, IIRC, but could be wrong here.
was great then, is great for what it is today - and there is NOTHING like this, nor has been during the past 20 years.
would have rated it 8.9, if that were possible... it is not and many0 ratings actually wanted to eate the re-make of this game, so giving it a 10 to even it out a bit. lamest excuse for giving a straight 10, but who cares!… Expand
