This game, now officially released and out of beta, is no where near a complete game, and is more or less still in ALPHA stage. The devs even have a road map clearly showing that the games planned core systems are not even in the game yet. (That means the game is still in alpha stage boys and girls.)
The game has updates on a weekly basis that continually break existing features in an attempt to "balance" the broken mess that currently is MQFEL. If Steam had any form of quality control, this game would never have made it out of Early Access, as it is far from complete.
I can't even comment on the games features, as these get manipulated, broken, or changed on a weekly basis. In the latest patch, the devs released an untested no pathing system that breaks how players control their characters.
So if you plan on trying this game out, I recommend not spending any money until you have witnessed at least one game patch. Chances are they broke your free character, and now can't even progress without buying a second one that will be broken the following week.… Expand

The only thing that sets this game apart from the other versions released in the past is its money grab DLC scheme, and its anti customer DRM.

Then at max level you have a few choices. First you need to gear up a bit. That requires that you repeat the same dungeon over and over until you have enough of the currency required to buy that gear.
After you gear up (Really takes no time at all even tho its super tedious and repetitive) You have have the option to do raid content. Yay. Well there is only one raid so far. A single 8 man raid for you to take down and repeat weekly.
So, now you have a max level character and you have some gear. What to do, what to do. Run coil, wait a week, rinse repeat.
tl:dr Pace of the game is super fast leaving you with next to nothing to do in a very short amount of time.… Expand

The story was awful, and the good and evil aspect was very poorly implemented. The only reason it sold as massively as it did was due to the insanely over hyped advertisement campaign. The game did not in any way live up to a single one of its boasted features.

Game is fun for about a day or two then you start repeating the same content over and over, and even if you spend more money than this game is worth, you will still find yourself lacking in the things you need to progress. But that doesnt really matter cause you will be bored by the time you need to upgrade that far anyway.… Expand

The reason one would buy an arcade version of MTG is for the casual experience and not having to buy tons of booster packs to make our decks better. Now they want you to do that even in the casual experience.

First of all GW2 is nothing like GW1. The PVP in GW2 is very generic, and pretty much crap. They made it so you can get to max level in a very short amount of time.. You can probably do it in 2 3 days if you really try, but will take the average player about a week maybe two.
The dungeons are all broken with all the players just exploiting their way to bosses that they kill for useless loot. For the amount of time this game has been out they should have fixed a lot of the exploits that allow players to complete dungeons in 5 10 minutes.
You can obtain the best gear in the game in a very short amount of time, (less than a month of game time), and whats left to do is basically repeating the same mindless content every day so you can get loot that looks different. It wont improve your character or change your stats, but you can make yourself look different. You basically continue playing so you can earn different skins.
The world bosses are very mindless. 10 50 players just chaotically attacking a giant mobs foot. No strategy is required, and no skill in using your generic weapon based skills.
So after you do basically everything this game has to offer in 3 weeks of playing all you are left with is World vs World. WvW is the large server vs server PvP. Its ok, but not great, and definitely doesn't give a reason to continue playing. Its no Esport that's for sure.
All in all, the game isnt horrible, but its not good either. Its a meh. Play it for a month, and you are pretty much done.… Expand

The ads for the game are deceptive, and there is nothing free to play about a demo. You would not call any $59.99 game free to play because it has a demo. In addition to the subscription based play there are pay to win micro transactions. And if you do buy any of these expect to be filling out support tickets to deal with your lost premium currency, and items that never arrived in your in game mail. Buyer Beware.
Even if you do get a subscription and access to the full game it is no more than a grind fest with little to no rewards or purpose.
The game is broken, and basically still in beta even a year after official release. Classes don't work as intended, skills are broken, and pvp is a joke due to the horrible character balance. Hope you never have to fight a ranged character as a melee.

Players returning from RO1 will find a lot of what made RO1 good removed, or redone with a lackluster finish. Casualized down to its core. Players new to RO might like it if they prefer an easy game that requires little learning of its systems and lack of real customization for characters, making it all grab and go.
