Along with that statement, it is a political record. #Thinking
Wake (9) There are actually two versions of Wake I believe. I like them both the same even though they have completely different tones within them. I know this from just playing alot of Linkin Park on YouTube. It is a great intro to one of my favorite albums by Linkin Park, the main reason being the beginning of the change in sound and the cover of the album.
Given Up (9) I am giving this song a higher score than I would have a couple of years ago because of my psychiatric issues as well as my suicide attempt that is associated with giving up. This album came out during the Bush II administration and really shows the bands disdain for the administration when it was in power. The sounds are pretty mainstream but the topic of the song is really what makes me like it.
Leave Out All The Rest (9.25) With this album being much darker than the other Linkin Park albums I feel, with a little touches of emo within it. I really connect with this song because of the lyrics associated with my life and how I want to distance myself from the people I once knew because I just don't think we are the same to put it nicely. It also talks about struggle to a degree and I have struggled alot in a completely different way than most people do I feel.
Bleed It Out (9) This song has themes of suicide in it I can really connect with. The instrumentals are fine but I like the lyrics better than the instrumentals because of how the record correlates with my life. There are references of scars within the song and I've been trying to decide if I should get a cro$$ that is up or down even though I don't believe in the doG that Christianity preaches.
Shadow Of The Day (9.25) This song reminds me alot of Leave Out All The Rest and gave me alot of motivation within the darkest point in my life. The whole line of 'the sun will set for you' kind of has come true for me so that is really good. I really like the the guitar solo near the end of the song and really adds a calm to this record.
What I've Done (9.25) This is one of my favorite songs on the album because I like playing it on the Piano but I always need to practice it or I forget it. I really connect with it because of how I think I have changed alot of factors correlated to politics even though I probably I will never know for sure. The dark overtones this song gives to the listener along with the rest of the album really just adds to a great collection of Linkin Park's material.
Hands Held High (9.25) This song is another one of my favorites on the album because it promotes a stance of leftism against the GOP before they were called the GOP I think. It's great because it's a melodic rant that really gets Linkin Park's statement across about how they feel about this political group. The religious overtones within the track give it a positive vibe as well. The change of the tune near the end of the song I think really connects with alot of people within our generation.
No More Sorrow (9.25) This track really picks up the tempo of the previous songs on the album and continues to discuss the issues associated with the right wing political parties within America and how they are part of the problem and not the solution. I could really see a radical leftist punching a senior member of the GOP in the face while this track is playing. That was a joke.
Valentines Day (9.5) This song is very deep for me because Valentines Day is my least favorite day out of the whole year and I'm not trying to sound like a emo/goth lib because I'm not. I'm Sith. I don't know if it's just because I was always an introvert growing up and I didn't really call myself shy but I never bought into the hollister libtard hug crowd because I always really wanted to stab those people and how females always tried to play me against my frienimies when I was growing up because my frienimies bought into the libtard culture even though I was more intelligent and better looking than all of them before I got chubby on purpose. #JackedAndTan #Libtards #290lbs #NotChubby #1197L
In Between (8) This song is fine but it just doesn't stand out to me like most of the other songs do on the album. Overall, it is a real conservative piece that has good instrumentals with kind of an electronic chime sound throughout it that I thought was alright.
In Pieces (8.5) This piece has an interesting tempo because of how the instrumentals change throughout the piece and has kind of like a jazz overtone. The lyrics are a little repetitive but overall it's pretty good because of the guitar in the middle end of the song.
The Little Things Give You Away (9) This song is also really conservative until later and I am running out of room because of character limits so let me just say the ending of this song is great.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.6Aug 1, 2014Forward/Dont Stay (9.25) I really like this album alot as well as Hybrid Theory because I played it alot during my angry teenage phase. EvenForward/Dont Stay (9.25) I really like this album alot as well as Hybrid Theory because I played it alot during my angry teenage phase. Even though I had alot less holes in my door than my friends. Anyway, the heavy guitar is awesome and the lyrics that deliver a angry tone really do a great job at setting the tone for the entire album.
Somewhere I Belong (9.25) This is probably one of my favorite mainstream track on the album that Linkin Park made into a video. I really identified with this song in my early years of college and how I didn't fit in to the binge drinking crowd. I really identify with the chorus (well did) and how it really changed my psyche and thinking in a good and bad way.
Lying From You (9) The main reason a gave this song a nine was because of the awesome chorus and how it really makes the song standout. Chester does a great job on it. Near the middle end, Shinoda does a great job laying some bars down and showing Linkin Park's execptional talent in the NuMetal genre.
Hit The Floor (8.5) This song does a good job at incorporating a good blend of rock and hip hop. It doesn't stand out as much as the tracks before this but it is still good and I probably couldn't do any better.
Easier To Run (9) This is my favorite track that is not as well known. It just has a great tone overall I think and the lyrics Shinoda drops really hit home with me. The harmonic screamo elements that Chester delivers also really makes me love this song alot. I really wish Linkin Park would have made an official music video for this track because I know their are unofficial ones out there or maybe I just missed it because I just checked on YouTube.
Faint (9.25) I think this track is the heaviest on the album and hits the hardest lyrically and instrumentally. Whoever is a Linkin Park fan should listen to the Dark Ambush Remix on YouTube. I hope Linkin Park doesn't get mad at me saying that but it is a great rendition of a already great track. Like usual, the screamo is great, and fist pumping in the music is awesome as well.
Figure.09 (9) First off, I am not giving this song a 9 because 9 is in the title of the song. The chorus is the main reason. Shinoda lays down a good display of lyric ability as well. Obviously when Chester starts screaming, is when everyone punches holes in their doors and stuff like that. Overall, the song has a good little loop and mainstream guitar song along with the ending which changes the note base.
Breaking The Habit (9) I bet alot of LPUnderground will be trippin and slippin about me giving this song an 9. But I really like my habits that I have formed for myself. Since I am a computer nerd I really don't get pleasure in the outdoors for more than a hour at a time, and I really don't like the weather being above 70 degrees. I just don't connect with the lyrics that's all.
From The Inside (9) What I really like about this track is the changes in tempo which really makes it unique to me. I really like the whole line of 'I won't waste myself on you.' It doesn't take a genius to correlate this line to the song 'Lost In The Echo' on Linkin Park's Living Things album.
Nobody's Listening (8) I think it's great they give this track a oriental flair and the lyric flow is great. I hope hip hop fans don't don't take my score as me saying I don't like rap/hip hop as much as rock music. I like them equal. #YinAndYang
Session (9.25) This joint is one of my favorite portions of the album because of how Linkin Park shows off there DJing skills. That's all I really have to say but I feel obligated to write more than two lines on all of my reviews on each song.
Numb (9) This track is so powerful to me and I really can identify with it. Especially the times when I couldn't get out of bed. I couldn't even describe the feeling. The serious part was for a couple of days and I thought I was going to die. #ClinicalDepression #Suicide #Homicide… Expand

It gives offThe Requiem/The Radiance (8.5) The Requiem/The Radiance are the intro track(s) to my favorite Linkin Park album, A Thousand Suns. It gives off an eerie vibe in the beginning and really sets the mood for a some of the album. I feel like the woman talking in the track is talking about how humanity is going to pay one day for all the bad stuff they create. The spiel by the guy is unique to and he talks about the destroyer of worlds and that was the neighborhood cats name who ripped bunnies apart and left heads of chipmunks on my doorstep at 420 Chinkapin Way.
Burning In the Skies (9) This song really gave me problems during some of my darkest days because of the whole 'I'm losing what I don't deserve' line because I didn't and it made me feel guilty for the mistakes I've made. But now, I feel the people who give me problems deserve less. Anyway, this song has great guitar and keeps a good beat throughout it. The lyrics are what makes this song powerful to me.
Empty Spaces/When They Come For Me (9.25) This song uses really great drum mechanics and gives it a African tribal element. Mike Shinoda and the rest of Linkin Park do a great job blending rap and rock and preaching about freedom of oppression and letting the controllers of this country know that they are tired of it. My favorite line in this album is "When they come for me, I'll be gone.' To me, it is talking about the haters and how they might try something stupid one day.
Robot Boy (8.5) This track is very soothing and is a real change from the one before. Linkin Park really demonstrates that NuMetal can be used calmly effectively. My favorite part of this song is in the middle when the instrumentals hit and Chester shows off his range.
Jornada Del Muerto/Waiting For The End (9.25) Jornada Del Muerto is the intro to Waiting For The End and shows off some of Linkin Park's electronica skills, very interesting piece. Waiting For The End is one of my favorite songs on the album and I think speaks to alot of people about how other people have let themselves go as well. It describes what alot of people who are depressed are going through and is a really great track to play for someone who is going through a tough time because Chester shares that he has struggled as well. Shinoda lays great bars down in this track with Chester accompaning him with vocals along with great instrumentals in the background.
Blackout (8) This song is great for any group of people who are into the screamo music scene. The track shows that Chester is capable spitting bars just like Shinoda. This song really picks up later when the melody gets more harmonious.
Wretches And Kings (9.25) The beginning of this track is a portion of the Mario Savio discussing the problems with class warfare and how the system demoralizes individuals rather than making them feel good. It's very RATMish and the title of Wretches and Kings is classifying the rich people of the nation are just bad people for the most part. The message behind this song is the main reason along with the Savio speech with Linkin Park's DJ dropping great beats along with it is why I gave it such a high score.
Wisdom, Justice, And Love (9) Wisdom Justice, And Love is great because it is like an outro to Wretches and Kings and an intro to Iridescent. It speaks about a Revolution Of Values that I really believe needs to happen.
Iridescent (9.25) This song I have played over and over when I was clinically depressed severely trying to revive my mood. I think it is a great piece of art for people to identify with that struggle with keeping a level head and loss. The guitar in the background really adds to the song and the choir part of the song is really great followed by the guitar. And the whole theme they push of trying to let go of your problems.
Fallout/The Catalyst (9) The Catalyst is another one of my favorite tracks on this album and is tied to the title album. The song speaks about humanity and how unless if we do something about the problems that are getting bigger everyday, humanity is doomed. The beats produced for this track are good but my favorite part is near the middle end where the tone of the whole track changes to something positive.
The Messenger (8.5) I played this song alot last year when I wanted to run to the west coast and never come back but I know I would have stayed sick in the head. This track is a great closer for the album relying on acoustics that really set a mellow mood even though the song is somewhat depressing. It's a great reminder that we cannot give up on the greater good of humanity.
Nothing is perfect so if a give a ten, it's between a 9.5 to 9.9. But 9's are 8.5 to 9.4. And that scale is correlated in all my scores.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.0Aug 1, 2014Opening/Pts.Of.Athrty (9) I just really like this song because it is against whole rat race ideology that is associated with growing up. TheOpening/Pts.Of.Athrty (9) I just really like this song because it is against whole rat race ideology that is associated with growing up. The chorus is great and the Reanimation album is really a great mix of all of Linkin Park's best tracks. The people who like to give me hard time should have listened to this song a little more.
Enth E Nd (8.5) I really like the original version of this song better than this one but that is just my opinion. I think it was smart that Linkin Park did this album though to attract people from the Hip Hop scene to their music. The DJ'ing is good as well. Linkin Park needs to get Hybrid Theory up.
[Chali]/FRGT/10 (9) This is where the album really picks up I think and the remixes really get awesome. The use of filters on the voices I think is interesting and gives the piece a good sound. The rap elements are what really made me like this song. Rap is more than just music, it is a motivational message to people understand the urban culture.
P5hng Me A*wy (9.25) This song does a great job at using builds effectively and the chorus is my favorite part. I know that I've said that alot recently but whatever. This was the song that wrapped up Hybrid Theory I believe and that album will always be carried with me because I remember listening to it in middle school. It's really interesting I think that Linkin Park changed their sound as their listeners grew into adults. #AngryTeenagers
Plc.4 Mie (9.25) I really like how the tempo picks up in this track and the harmonic NuMetal elements in this song really give it a really good sound. It does a great job of incorporating rap and rock and that is what Linkin Park is known for to people who listen to alot of music. The best part is in the middle end of the piece when they incorporate Piano and screamo elements.
X-Ecutioner Style (8) This piece shows off the DJ'ing ability of Linkin Park and it's fine but nothing really sticks out of me. It is a bunch of interesting sounds with aggressive rap lyrics with no real inspirational message.
H! Vltg3 (8.5) This track is very rap heavy and it fine. But like Enth E Nd, I like the original version better because of the type of rap that is being laid down. Yes it shows good rhyming skill but sometimes I just look at it as jibberish.
[Riff Raff]/Wth.You (9.25) This is one of my favorite songs on the album. The heavy guitar is very melodic and is a great track to workout to I think. I think this track does a great job of giving Chester and Shinoda an equal vocal time frame. Like I've stated in previous Linkin Park reviews, I think that is why Linkin Park is always going to be successful, because of how they blend different types of music together (ie. NuMetal). When they have the guest rapper come on the track, the song really picks up when the heavy guitars kick back in. The Piano in the fade is good also.
NtrMssion/Ppr:Kut (9) With the original Papercut being one of my favorite tracks by Linkin Park, this version is great as well. The rap elements in the track are good as well. When the tune and lyrics change and the guitars kick back in, I think it makes the song better and allows me to give it a solid 9.
Rnw@y (9) This song is a really good rendition of the original, and I actually like this remix as much as the original because of how Linkin Park made the sounds more complex and unique. I do think the guest rapper does kind of ruin the track just a tad because he didn't do nuttin I fank.
My.Dsmbr (9.25) This is one of my favorite ballads by Linkin Park because of how I can really identify with it. I like how the remix speeds up the beat up and gives it a brand new sound for any Linkin Park fan. I do like the original better though because that song was playing when my mp3 player died on crazy brain lane.
[Stef]/By_Myslf (9.25) I think the heavy guitar in the beginning of the song is really good and the song does carry a good message that I can really relate to varying degrees. The chorus is good as well and while the tempo is the same as the original, I like this version better because of the middle end part of the song.
Kyur4 Th Ich (8.5) This song has some of the cool instrumentals I think because it is a sound that really is unique. The record scratching is good as well and is a good song that could be labeled as an intro to another track but it's not.
1stp Klosr (9.5) I think this remix of Linkin Park's debut hit is done perfectly because of how they incorporate the builds within the piece and how Korn's Jonathon Davis jumps on the track as well. Let's just say I don't play this when I drive for a reason. While the original is good, the lyrics are funny to me as I've gotten older because of how they stereotype angry teenagers. In a nutshell, this track go hard. #GoBlue
Krwlng (9) I like this song but it's depressing and I'm running out of characters. The instrumentals are what kept the score high. The chorus is really good and the tempo and violin ends the album well.… Expand

Heartbeat (9.25) The lead track on this album is really great. A love song that has very powerful instrumentals and vocals. The reason why I gave this song such a high score is because of how identify with quite a bit of the lyrics. When the chorus hits is the best part. Overall, the song does a great job of promoting love between individuals.
The Fighter (8) I think the fluctuations in the delivery of the vocals are one of the most interesting parts in the song. It has a alright hook in the chorus and the Piano gives the song a different flair than most alternative bands that rely on their lead playing guitar.
Turn Me On (7.5) This song reminds me of a more complex version with better instrumentals of one of The Beatles simple jingles. The guitar riffs and vocals are pretty standard along with how the song kind of just repeats the same message but It's not bad and I would not turn it off.
Run For Your Life (9) This song was one of the songs I played alot when I was at very low points in my life. I feel it describes how he follows a woman he loves and how she rejects him. The whole 'you can only hold back the river so long' is one of the most powerful lines in the song I feel. The dynamic Piano really accentuates The Fray's talent to change the music scene away from just guitar to a broader range of instruments.
The Wind (8.5) This song has a soothing melody with instruments and the vocals are great I think. It is a great song that is relaxing but it is an upbeat relaxing. I really like how the instrumentals get louder within the chorus and the lyrics have overtones of love.
1961 (8) This song gives off a little bit of a jazz vibe and I like the change. When the vocals get more dynamic is when I really start to like the song. The Piano in the background is always good like usually and makes it subtle since it's in the background. My favorite line of the song is 'I will be with you until the end.' Near the middle end of the song, the lyrics are delivered a little different for awhile which is a neat change in the overall melody of the song.
I Can Barely Say (7.5) I like this song because it relies more heavily on the Piano which I like better because it is known as a humble instrument while the Guitar is known as an arrogant instrument because you can't carry Grand Piano's around with you. The whole I Can Barely Say lyric is the best part when he shows off his vocals I think. But overall, nothing special that caught my ear but I couldn't do any better.
Munich (9.5) I think this is the best song on the album and it really shows the power of proper instrumentals in a song. They talk about Black and White and I firmly believe in yin and yang in my everyday life, not to mention it is one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. The harmonious choir part of this song really adds the defining element on why I gave this song such a high score and doesn't make it too repetitive.
Here We Are (7.5) This song kind of reminds me of Turn Me On earlier in this review, it's good but nothing really sticks out other than the interesting guitar solo kind of in the middle of the song even though it is short.
48 To Go (7.5) This song has a real calming effect for me and really great instrumentals. The lyrics in this song are really good because it talks about traveling and seeing the world. The keyboards in the end with the little bell ringing is cool as well.
Rainy Zurich (9) This song is my one of my other favorite songs on the album because of the lyrics and how they really correlate with my life. The most powerful lines in the songs are 'Maybe I'll find you, maybe I won't' and 'You are what I never knew I needed.' Because all men get old and die.
Be Still (7.5) I think this song is really good and shows the importance of choosing a proper track selection when you put out an album. This song is really good for winding down the album and maybe would be a good track to listen to before you go to bed. But it is a little depressing to me to be honest.… Expand

And while it's new U2 I really love itBeautiful Day (9.25) I remember my Dad playing this song alot in the car when I was in middle school. And while it's new U2 I really love it because it's a great song to play if you are having a great day. The guitar riffs are great in the song. He talks about traveling and I feel when the change in the the lyrics hits and tone of the instruments change at the end is the best part. 'What you don't have you don't need it now' is my favorite line.
Stuck In a Moment You Can't Get Out Of (8.5) I really like this song because it really raises the problem alot that people have letting things go that they care about. The tempo is soothing and calm and the vocals change throughout the song subtly and shows U2's artistic prowess. The main reason I gave this song a 8.5 was because of the unique subject it brought up.
Elevation (8.5) This song really has good use of electonica/synth guitar and the vocals in the beginning that Bono uses makes the song unique. How the chorus hits really is why this song is good I think. I think this is the the standard in why songs are deemed good by people who appreciate good music.
Walk On (9.25) I really love this song, especially when the the instruments hit in the beginning and those four guitar notes as well as the solo in the middle of the song. What I really take away from the title of the song and lyrics is to walk away from your problems and to try and maintain your sanity the best you can. I've tried to move away from Ohio with this song playing so many times and I can't. The whole identity of the song changes near the end and my favorite line Bono says is 'You've got to leave it behind.'
Kite (9) This song is really relaxing and soothing and the drop the guitar creates is really great throughout the song. The chorus is really great in this song and the accentuated notes really give this song alot of life. The solos are really awesome and when Bono really gets vocal later in the track really is great.
In A Little While (7.5) This track has alot of jazzy overtones and would be a really great track to listen to at a quieter volume if you needed to get work done or something. It remains pretty similar throughout the track but it still sounds good.
Wild Honey (7.5) This song kind of sounds Beatleish with the simple guitar chords in the backgrounds. How the electric comes in shortly after is neat I think. It reminds me of the track before this one because of the conservative instrumentals. The vocals get a little more interesting later in the track probably to keep it interesting.
Peace On Earth (8) Obviously the title of this song is great and the music associated with this track is very soothing and calm. The simple acoustics are great and they really match the song title with the music that was created. The calm electronica adds a great element to the song as well and keeps it interesting to the ear.
When I Look At The World (8.5) The beginning of this song has really cool sounding guitar riffs, along with the sounds U2 creates when the track picks up. The solo in the middle of the song is really awesome and shows the true genius between all the musicians that are associated with U2. The track calms down before the end.
New York (9) The cool, calm, and collected beat in the beginning of the song is really great. And the subtle guitar in the background lets you know the song is about to blow up. The title represents one of the greatest cities in the world. When the electric guitar hits, it adds that element to any successful song.
Grace (7.5) This song has a certain calming effect to it and is a good wind down to the album. The drums in the background do good setting a beat. The guitar is simple but does good adding to the relaxing effect the track gives to the listener.
The Ground Beneath Her Feet (8) This song is really great because it starts off very calm and really picks up and you really don't expect it if you've never listened to it. It is a good song to end the album because it kind of throws the listener off a little bit and kept me in an upbeat mood like maybe I want to go listen to more U2.… Expand

The oriental sounding guitars are really great and it really makesLife In Technicolor (9) This is a great intro track to the album I think. The oriental sounding guitars are really great and it really makes it one of my favorite albums by Coldplay because of how it relates to my life. There is a good use of different types of instruments within the piece.
Cemeteries Of London (9) I really love this track, and I don't think Coldplay even made it one of their singles. The guitar is good throughout the piece and there are a great mixture of many different sounds throughout the track and the Piano at the end is really a good way to finish the piece up.
Lost! (9.25) Probably one of my favorite tracks on the album even though I hate to sound mainstream. I think the use of the organ really makes this song unique and gives the track a great sound. The chorus has a catchy sound and the melodic electric guitar is great like in all the pieces by Coldplay.
42 (9) I really like how Coldplay slows the tempo in this piece quite a bit. When the Guitar kicks in after the Piano, it really changes the dynamic of the piece and really gives it an interesting tone. That is the main thing that stuck out to me in this track, how it starts off slow and ends pretty quickly. The ending made me bump the score up.
Lovers In Japan/Reign Of Love (9.25) I really like this song because of the positive sounds it incorporates. To me, the whole title of Lovers In Japan really connects with two people from the United States making a promise to one another to stay faithful because they would be a minority so to speak in a non-racist sense in Japan. When Reign of Love kicks in, it really makes the song even better because it slows the tempo and would really make a great song to listen to while you sit by the water, but not Alum Creek. The Piano is really emphasized in this piece.
Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant (9) This song has a really catchy tune and really makes the album one of the most consistent Coldplay albums I think. I really think it's because of the use of the variety of instruments the artists use and how they use them. The violins are what stand out to me in this song. The electric guitar riff in the Chinese Sleep Chant portion of the song is really great but I had to give this song a 9 because it can hold up to the one before this one.
Viva La Vida (9) My favorite line in this song is where Coldplay talks about 'sweeping the streets.' I really correlate that saying to my life when I have left Westerville for sometime and returned and started roaming the streets again. I probably don't plan to ever leave ever again except maybe in the Winter if something great pops up. #Westerville
Violet Hill (8.5) This track starts with great ambiance sounds. The guitar solo is the best part I think and I'm not giving this song a 8.5 on purpose to be a dick. The song is really good but if the solo was longer I would have given the song a higher score as well as having more unique tones other than the solo.
Strawberry Swing (9) I really like this song and the music video and how they made it unique. The rhythm guitar is really what gives this song a great tone. How the piece changes more acoustic later is really great as well and the vocals are calm throughout the track.
Death And All His Friends/The Escapist (9) This song starts out different than the other tracks on this album I think and I used the the word different because that is the first thing I thought of when this track came on. It does have really good instrumentals later and wraps up the album very well. The beat speeds up later and you really don't expect it if you've never listened to it before, you forgot about the song, or you listened to it when you were young/kid. The hidden track The Escapist is really calming and kind of reminds me of Now We Are Free from the Gladiator movie.
All in all, I really like the direction Coldplay has taken in their albums from their earlier work.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.4Aug 1, 2014I'm reviewing the standard edition and not the deluxe.
Here To Stay (9.25) This is one of my favorite tracks by Korn. Even though I haven'tI'm reviewing the standard edition and not the deluxe.
Here To Stay (9.25) This is one of my favorite tracks by Korn. Even though I haven't listened to their album heavily, I've always loved their sound. The main reason I like this track is the message associated with the lyrics. The guitar are heavy and mainstream and they add to the song in a great way.
Make Believe (7.5) I like how the vocals sound eerie and a little off on purpose. This song has a good little melodic vibe. This song incorporates good use of electronica in parts. The chorus is the best part because of the melodic vibe. The guitar gets heavier later in the song and takes the song in the right direction.
Blame (8.5) This song really picks up the album, but the vocals are still creepy. The aggressive sound associated with the instrumentals is good though, as well as how the tempo is changed throughout the piece. The chorus is good and it's much more listenable than the previous track. The ending of the piece is the best part I think.
Hollow Life (8.5) The spacey sound in beginning is good for the album I think. It makes the track unique. The slower pace of the song is good along with the moderate guitar in the chorus. The song gets really good when the tempo starts to picks up a little bit in certain parts. The background vocals are a good element as well.
Bottled Up Inside (8) This track starts off with heavy instrumentals and that's the main type of sound I like coming from Korn. It has pretty much the same tone throughout the song but it's a good sound so that is good.
Thoughtless (9) Another one of the singles off this album and I think Korn did a good job at choosing this song. The catchy chorus is definitely the best part of the song. I really connect with the part about friends being gone. Because my friends are gone. #NoNewFriends #NeoConservative
Hating (8.5) This song is good and it keeps up my interest in the album as a whole. The guitar is good and the chorus is the best part like usual. I really kind of classify this song as melodic screamo. I guess I classify alot of Korn's music like that.
One More Time (8.5) Korn has a very unique guitar sound in this track and really makes it stand out to me. The heavy mainstream sound Korn delivers stays constant and the tempo changes later and it really allows me to give it a solid 8.5. Korn makes the instrumentals heavier in the end of the song and they seem to do this alot, I guess I'm picking up on their formula for making music.
Beat It Upright (8) This track has a faster tempo and I like the sound it delivers. But in most of Korn's music, it stays stagnant for most of the time but the instrumentals are good because of my appreciation of heavier rock. The tracks though are kind of starting to sound similar at this point though.
Alone I Break (9) One of my favorite songs on the album because it kind of has a dark ballad feel to it. Of course the chorus is the reason why the dark message within the lyrics I really connect with. The catchy chorus is repeated at the end and wraps the song up good.
Embrace (8.75) This song has really great heavy instrumentals in the beginning and it really keeps my ears entertained, followed by heavy lyrics. The change in the dynamics of the tone in Korn's songs presented in this track is why a gave it the unique 8.75. I just really like this track because of the fast pace and the angry sound it gives off.
I'm Hiding (8.5) This song starts out with a really unique sound. It is more melodic than most of the tracks on this album, and I really like it. The tempo is good as well. The unique sound is repeated and is a good loop so give the track a good beat and tone. The distorted guitar at the end is a good way to end the track as well.
Wake Up Hate (9) The catchy 'wake up hate' lyric really makes this song stand out. The lyrics in between the chorus really are creepy and dark though. Although the message associated with the song is negative I gave this song a 9 because of how hits hard when played loud and would be a great anthem in a mosh pit.
No One's There (9) The interesting sound and slower tempo is a great way to wrap up the album I think. The chorus sounds in tune and melodic and I know alot of Korn's music is out of tune on purpose and it turns alot of people off to them but I think alternative sounds are an acquired taste. Saying that, if you compare this song to alot of the 8.5's I've reviewed, I think you'll be able to see the difference.… Expand
