Average User Score: 8.7Jul 10, 2014Was finna give this a 10/10, but that would mean I would have to argue to myself that it's as good as Benji and deserves a 9.5 or higher. Still an amazing album, nonetheless and an improvement on The Seer from 2012, which was good, but the length of that album held it down. The length for To Be Kind does nothing but make it that much more epic.

Average User Score: 7.6Jun 25, 2014Am I late to the Yeezus party? It's been almost a month since the release of Yeezus, but I feel I need to get my opinion out there. On my first listen of Yeezus, I hated every minute of it, except a few tracks. I despised the autotune on Blood on the Leaves and Guilt Trip, and some of the subject matter felt like he wrote it in 2 minutes, and said it, I'm Kanye, people gon' buy my sh** anyway.' Then I listened again, and again, and again. I don't know how 'Ye does it, but Yeezus has become my fourth favorite 'Ye album (CD, LR, MBDTF). My ears still hurt listening to the ridiculous gong show that is 'I Am A God' (HURRY UP WITH MY D*MN CROISSANT), but I sincerely enjoy a large percentage of every track on this album.
Favorite Songs: Black Skinhead, New Slaves, Guilt Trip, Bound 2

The only meh thing about this album is the closing track takes a bit too long to develop and starts to drag on just a little bit.

Average User Score: 8.7Jun 25, 2014A controversial artist makes an album studying himself as an artist, and creates the Illmatic of the 21st century. It's something we've never heard before, with every single featured artist making the most of their time to shine. Kanye even spits some of his best verses in his career (gone off lr is still his best). The album features incredible production, which, in my opinion surpasses most production from the golden era of 90's rap. Is it the best hip hop album ever as Kanye claims it to be? Not quite.. but it's pretty damn close.
Edit 2014: This is definitely my favourite hip hop album of all time now.… Expand

I had never heard of Sun Kil Moon until the critical acclaim of this album started pouring in. I still haven't listened to the other albums, laughing at how meta this album is.

It's easy to give this album a bad score and get the approval of critics, who all have given this album a bad score.
Without listening to the album in depth, I'm going to write a review about Donald as a person, and give it a 3/10, because everyone else does it as well.
Maybe critics should care less about liking an album made by a 'hipster', and actually review the quality of the music. This is by far Donald's greatest work yet. (I'd give camp a 6-7/10), and critics are complaining about Donald as a person, rather than as a musician. From my point of view, I'm hearing great music, and instead of believing the 'professional' critics, I suggest giving the album a chance.

Or maybe they shouldn't be considered critics at all... pitchfork.
I don't think Eminem was trying to make an album to rival MMLP1, or even SSLP for that matter. What this album shows is a relaxed Eminem. Recovery was a bunch of unecessary and annoying screaming. Relapse had that stupid nasal of his, and Encore... was just bad.
I don't think Em will create an album as good as MMLP1 ever again, This http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jxvr0uk9-g
is a better explanation than anything I could think of in this review.

Average User Score: 8.7Nov 1, 2013My first non hip-hop review comes from an album that many, including myself, have long been anticipating. It's been 3 years. That means we NEED another Arcade Fire record. The first listen I got was when the album was leaked by the band for 24 hours, and I didn't have much of an opinion, since I only got 1 listen. Now that it's released, I took 'Uger's' advice, and listened to it 4 or 5 times. CD1 is a very strong outing, featuring probably my LEAST favourite track, 'Flashbulb Eyes', but thankfully for the album, it didn't reach the 3 minute mark. However..... CD2 reallly caught me of guard. In my opinion, Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice), It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus), and Afterlife are all top 10 tracks by the band, ever. I'm not one to review an album's deeper meaning or try to explain it, but as always, Arcade Fire covered many interesting, and unique topics. Overall: 91/100
Favourite Tracks: Reflektor, Here Comes The Night Time, Joan Of Arc, Here Comes The Night Time II, Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice), It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus), Porno, Afterlife

Average User Score: 8.5Oct 24, 2013I'm not going to go into much detail, since Danny Brown isn't for everyone. If you are a Danny Brown fan, definitely pick it up. Personally, I prefer XXX by a long shot, mostly because of the way the album was constructed, but Old still shows Danny Brown at his best. The production on this album is pretty damn amazing and that's the one thing where I think it 'beats' XXX. Get it, beats?.... 7/10… Expand
