The AI is utterly dreadful, defenders don't have a clue, if you use the 'trigger run' to make a player make a run off the ball after a pass, he keeps going until he's 20 yards offside, a bug they haven't bothered fixing since FIFA 10. Players are unresponsive, centre-backs just drift randomly out of place at times.
Why do none of these little AI failings get fixed every year? Because EA is a corporate monster that just churns out the same game with some shiney new features. Improving AI is not on the agenda, clearly, as the same AI, the same engine, with the same failings is used each year.
Sadly, EA have spent their time giving us "touchline updates on injuries" from "our man Geoff Shreeves" because it's a gimmick that they can put on the back of the box rather than spend time improving the AI and dynamics of the game.
FIFA 13 is even slower, clunkier, and more uncomfortable than FIFA 12, which is went downhill vastly from the slik, fluid FIFA 11. Worst installment to date, complete waste of £40 for a lazy piece of production work from the money men at EA.… Expand

I was hugely unimpressed with MW2 however, although I did sill enjoy the game, I felt it was a huge step back. It didn't breed the competetive nature that COD4 did. There was no balance within the weapons. Using a sniper for example, was almost pointless due to the accuracy of Scar+RDS.
Gimmicky things like scavenger perk & kill streaks made camping the most effective way to play.
However, MW3 was hugely built up - I heard from friends they were going to find a middle-ground between 4 & MW2.
I anticipated this game greatly, a new MW, which would hopefully learn from the mistakes of MW2 and hopefully a game to blow the 2 previous titles out the water.
HOW WRONG I WAS. This game didn't just let me down immensly, I have never felt so ripped off by a product in my life.
I know the gaming industry isn't going to develop a new engine everytime a developer releases a sequel - but as gamers we at least expect some gameplay improvement & new features.
Lazy would be an understatement. The gameplay is EXACTLY, i repeat EXACTLY the same. Most the guns are the same. The maps are new. And they have a new storyline for offline.
And that, i'm afraid is MW3 in a nutshell.
I'm taking it back tomorrow wiith my reciept for a full refund, and activision/IW deserve to be investigated by some sort of watchdog body for this effort.… Expand
