Setting and story are intriguing, shape shifting rocks and fights can be anything from sneak one hit kills to brutal, stretched out battles. Quit whining and git good. Playing the different endings is amazing, despite minor issues with game crashes, giving this a 10 to cancel out the d*ckhead zeroes.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.1May 3, 2017The immersive and creepy art style is one thing, but if your idea of thrilling horror is to die or get caught by the enemy 40 consecutiveThe immersive and creepy art style is one thing, but if your idea of thrilling horror is to die or get caught by the enemy 40 consecutive times on account of extremely clunky and unresponsive/unintuitive controls, then that is a whole different story. Pure. Frustration. With. Those. Controls. Also, with the constant failing and retrying the playtime barely exceeds 5 hours. So it's extremely short altogether, with like 4 levels in total... really wish they'd add more levels further down the road, at no or almost no additional charge.… Expand

It runs like a gem, beautifully, gracefully, it feels like a proper FPS, the graphics and artwork is marvellous and top-notch. The story pulls you right into it. I could not stop playing for 5 hours. It is just that breath-taking. This is an absolute MUST PLAY title for this year.… Expand

Quicktime events and always changing keys for them will frustrate you to no end. You will die a lot because it will not be clear what button to press in time. Maybe this can be levied with using an X360 controller.
The aiming is utter and complete BS. You will either take literally up to 10 seconds to line up one headshot or misfire when you spray before your aim is aligned, your choice. There are better ways to make shooters harder. Messing up your aim by giving you a handicap that a bottle of wine straight up would give you is not a good way to make a shooter more challenging... overall very bad gameplay mechanics and design.
I'm still oughta check the aim issue with a x360 controller, but, ya know, KB+mouse is supposed to be... yeah... DEAD accurate as opposed to washy analog controls... game designers orz… Expand

If you decide to play do get ready to do the same fight over and over and over again... its just that bad. also, the camera spins in stutters, no free looking. very consoly feel. nice story and setting though.… Expand

IWNET matchmaking failed miserably in MW2, and in 2 years Activision did not manage to understand and answer to the PC community, not one little bit. Unranked dedis are like a slap in the face, since the actual multiplayer mechanics have not changed at all. The graphics engine is ancient, and i mean really ancient. It looks exactly the same as its predecessors, because the engine is the exact same one. Fancier skins and textures don't help with that. I believe Activision will actually continue to release games based on that outdated engine as long as x360 and ps3 exist together with the idiots who buy them and this product... so, congratulations, there will be no innovation and technological progress in the coming years, guaranteed for by every individual who spent money on this. The one thing that really astonishes me though, is that they still release such PC gamer insulting software on the PC... PC gamers really hate Activisions guts for every COD after Modern Warfare 1. If they bother to release on the PC, why is it so hard to understand that players want the multiplayer experience of Modern Warfare 1, with DEDIs AND RANKs together... are they really that retarded?… Expand

Rage is just a ghost of a decent pc game. the texture detail is a joke, everything looks like a pile of mud.
headshots don't kill people (!!!). the id 5 engine may be capable of much more, but Rage sure as hell is not a valid showcase for that.
i just hope for ids' sake that they deliver what Rage should have been on the PC, and soon. otherwise they're pretty much dead to me.
please take my advice and do not buy the game until all issues have been fixed. trust me, you will be disappointed and it will ruin the game for you.… Expand
