Textures are blocky, models lack detail and the framerate isn't brilliant, tending to hover around 30fps. Using nitrous will cause the framerate to suffer on scenes with three or more cars nearby at once. The biggest change is the appearance of helicopters and planes that fly over the course to accentuate the 3D effect. In a rather strange design choice most menus don't work with the slide pad, navigation is almost exclusively handled by the dpad. Similarly, the touch screen is limited to 2 functions, switching the map between zoomed and course overview, and changing camera position.
If you have one of the previous versions of this game, on PSP or iPhone, then there really is no reason to buy it. However, if you must have a sim racer with your 3DS than it is still better than the alternative.… Expand
