Average User Score: 8.3Dec 11, 2013This new installment in the Ace Attorney series not only lives up to our expectations of the series, but brings it up a notch, bringing in game mechanics such as Apollo's Perceive ability, but also bringing in new mechanics like Athena's Mood Matrix. Story and dialogue-wise, its as good as any of its predecessors, if not better, which slowly draws you into the game, making you engrossed in it so easily, you might not even want to put down the game just to see how the character you're playing as will wrap up the case.
This game is definitely a good pick-up for any fans of the series, and for non-fans who are interested in things like puzzles or mysteries, they may want to try it out also. The game is also priced well below the price of a normal 3DS game so its well worth its cost.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.9Sep 26, 2013A game that cashes in on the concept of co-operative first person shooter game play, Payday 2 is a sequel to Payday the Heist and can be compared to its predecessor in terms of quality in game play and visuals.
Payday 2 offers a wide variety of missions, all with occasionally the same kind of objectives, but usually varying in the mission's execution. Missions can quickly go sour and turn into a large scale arms war if the team does not work together. It gives the sense that the team has to work as one, instead of a single person doing all the work and makes it a game that truly makes use of co-op game play.… Expand
Average User Score: 5.7Sep 26, 2013Certainly not a Scribblenauts Unlimited, Scribblenauts Unmasked is more of a homage to the DC Comics universe rather than a Scribblenauts game.
Game play isn't bad certain puzzles were tricky and hard to solve. However, the game is not really intricate in its design unlike the previous games. Of course, the game was relatively short, and puzzles were not on the level of previous games tricky puzzles do not mean that the puzzles were particularly innovative. While not a story-based game, its story didn't felt strong and was more geared towards involving Maxwell (and potentially the player) with the DC universe.
Overall, the game is not bad to the point that it has absolutely no appeal to it, but its not a very well done game either. Its price is rather high as well and I would advise people to pick it up in a sale or not at all, its not really a loss if you don't buy it.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.0Sep 25, 2013With its grid-based interface, this game is easily comparable to titles such as Plants vs Zombies.Whereas both players have the same objective to gain 5 points worth of your units crossing into enemy borders. As a strategy game is does keep you thinking on what is your next move, but eventually the games too repetitive. However, true to its design, the game keeps its steam punk-ish style and the story is engaging enough to keep you playing for awhile. Multiplayer, however, is slightly broken as few players play it and this makes the game lack replay-ability value.
In conclusion, for its relatively low cost of $15+ it may be worth supporting this indie game, but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you are fine playing strategy-intensive turn based games.Using comics to tell the story is relatively a bonus as well.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.9Sep 25, 2013Its not exaggerating to call it one of the best games on the NDS, The World Ends With You brings a refreshingly new game play experience for the JRPG genre, and one of the games that make full use of the NDS dual screen function. Not simply pure game play, the game brings along a great music collection and a fantastic storyline. While the story was not particularly long, its short, straight to the point and you would've understood the plot and its details by the end of the game. After the end game, there also reports to collect to as unlockables for more details, and even a special chapter.
Overall, a good game and challenging experience as its a new type of game.Worth a pick up.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.0Sep 25, 2013A huge leap for Pokemon, Nintendo has tried something new with the series, placing it into a, while still turn-based but more Final Fantasy Tactics-esque role playing game. The player is given the ability to take over several kingdoms and starts out with one, in the setting of feudal Japan, namely the Sengoku era. An interesting take on the Pokemon series, the game does not stray too far from its turn-based roots, while still offering a much different take on how Pokemon games usually play out, aside from the Ranger and Dungeon series.
Overall, its worth its cost as a DS title, and possibly a good pick-up for those who enjoy strategic turn-based games and Pokemon fans.… Expand
Average User Score: 9.2Sep 25, 2013Valve has managed this game very well. Its success is reflected in how long it has stayed alive as a game relying solely on pvp. From a game mod to a great game, Team Fortress 2 doesn't give you repetitive first-person shooter game play, offering you several different modes of objectives, and different classes with different specializations to spice up the game. Valve also constantly updates the game, thus ensuring there will be new content, along with player-contributed mods and the like.
Overall, great game to pick up, considering that its free and really enjoyable even to people like me who are not completely interested in first-person shooters.… Expand
Average User Score: 5.6Sep 25, 2013As an avid player of RTS games, I enjoy League of Legends thoroughly. It has fluid game play in the sense that it offers relatively faster rhythm of game flow. While the game isn't as refined as I feel that it could be,it does its job well in ensuring that there is a relatively casual game play section for those who are not serious in the game, and a section for those who want to play on a more serious and pseudo-competitive scale.
Overall, it is enjoyable but some segments of the game need to be worked on, such as optimization issues and game balance.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.4Sep 25, 2013An interesting game with a high skill curve. If you're new, don't expect to get into the game quickly, however Valve has added tutorials to familiarize newer players with the game.As it is a PVP game, don't expect to always be winning your games as there may be those better than you.Every game ends up as a learning experience in this sense.
Definitely worth to pick up,as its a free game, with in-game purchases not giving people any advantages with only cosmetics.Valve has handled the game fairly well, attempting to fix what many considers a toxic community with punishments to those who break rules. Thus,we can't consider the community as Valve's fault as they try to remedy it,and in games involving mostly pure pvp like this,a bad community is mostly expected.… Expand
