San Francisco Chronicle Edward Guthmann
What we have here isn't a disaster, exactly, but a very handsomely produced let-down.

Good-natured fun; it doesn't always work, but it's not for want of trying.

Bad in such a bizarre way that it's almost worth seeing, if only to witness the crazy confluence of purpose and taste.

The British intelligence operation at Bletchley Park that cracked the Enigma code is truly the stuff of great drama. But that story doesn't offer Matt LeBlanc in a wig and heels.

A perfectly good idea for a comedy, but it just plain doesn't work. It's dead in the water. I can imagine it working well in a different time, with a different cast, in black and white instead of color--but I can't imagine it working like this.

A throwback war movie that fails on so many levels, it should pay reparations to viewers.

It's not surprising to learn that the story -- which the press notes assert is loosely based on fact -- has been kicking around Hollywood for 15 years. It's that bad.

Afraid to pitch into farce, yet only half-hearted in its spy mechanics, All the Queen's Men is finally just one long drag.

Let's hope -- shall we? -- that the "true story" that allegedly "inspired" All the Queen's Men was a lot funnier and more deftly enacted than what's been cobbled together here.

Not bad enough to qualify as a memorable dud, multinational production nonetheless misses mark on every level.

Rarely has a movie worked so hard to be so inconsequential.

The fiercely original Eddie Izzard is wasted in this botch, not something you could say for lucky millionaire Friend Matt LeBlanc.

Jeff C. gave it a10:
I love this movie. But I know it's not easy for every amercan to understand the austrian humor.
George D. gave it a 2:
This movie was so bad. I want my 101 mins back. The only person who looked like he was having any fun was Eddie Izzard 'cause he got to be in drag. The only good thing about this movie is I saw it for free.
Greg T. gave it a 1:
This movie was so bad as to be embarassing. This was supposed to be some sort of quasi comedy. The person I watched this movie with are still waiting for the first laugh. It was forced, contrived, boring and ill-conceived. They dragged up a tired old English drag queen to play one role and this Matt LeBlanc to play the straight macho counterfoil. Blanc is the operative word. He could have cared less. No doubt he wished he had not signed up for this movie contract.
Heather H. gave it a 10:
It was great.
