Coco Bunny gave it a5:
High expectations, big letdown. While it has its funny moments, it dragged at times. And dragged. And dragged. Surely Cohen could have come up with more funny stuff--or edited some of the lulls out--to fill the whole running time. If you're a fan of gross-out comedies, you'll like this.
Ash S gave it a9:
I personally find this movie to be an amazingly funny satire on the casual racism and prejudice that seems to make up parts of America, rather then a serious film - and it does this greatly.
Glen M gave it an8:
It's OK to hate this movie, to call it sexist, racist, anti-semitic, unfunny etc. What's not OK is to make inferences about the intelligence of those who find it funny. Sorry to burst your bubble but if you hate it you're not in an enlightened minority who weren't "sucked in." There are intelligent people with different tastes to you. Otherwise you're defining intelligent as "someone who agrees with me." I hope none of you would break up a friendship or marriage because the other person found Borat hilarious. Peace.
Jack P gave it a10:
Sacha Baron Cohen is a fantastic satirist. I literally bust a gut laughing every time I see this movie. It's the funniest film of all time without a doubt.

Hilarious! One of the best, no, the best comedy movie i've ever seen. Funny, and yet at the same time prevides insights about our society. I can see why some people dont like it, but i cant understand why those people would see it in the first place. And as for some of you who gave it bad scores cause it's "antisemitic", that arguments doesnt hold up, as Sacha Baren Cohan, who plays Borat and who wrote the script, is a very devout Jew. In other words, Borat=NIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!!

Non-stop gut-bustingly funny. For those horrified at the "adolescent" humour; it is you who are the children, blinded by the lower thinking, unaware of the satire. You are the ones we are lauging at. Go Borat! High-Five!
