Boston Globe Jay Carr
Plays like a college version of ''When Harry Met Sally.''
Chicago Tribune Monica Eng
Starts with such promising quirkiness that it's easy to forget for the moment that you are watching a teen comedy.
Baltimore Sun Chris Kaltenbach
Turns into an amusing showcase for two of Hollywood's most appealing young actors.
Mr. Showbiz Cody Clark
Oh-so-tiresomely familiar.
USA Today Andy Seiler
As the couple stand on the bluffs overlooking San Francisco Bay, you may find yourself wishing Forlani would push Prinze in.
San Francisco Chronicle Peter Stack
Watching this film is a little like wallowing in warm surf with soft pop music wafting in the breeze.

It's nothing if not predictable.
Chicago Sun-Times Roger Ebert
It's not that I don't like it. It's that I don't care.

Prinze and Forlani coast on charisma alone, but even their charms can't coax magic from the prosaic dialogue and romantic clichés that clog this listless comedy.
Read Full Review >Washington Post Desson Thomson
An adolescent romance that isn't smart enough to mirror "When Harry Met Sally" or crudely amusing enough to get close to "American Pie."
Read Full Review >Chicago Reader Jonathan Rosenbaum
The material is familiar, the Berkeley locations are strictly boilerplate, and there are times when the characters seem more like high school students than college kids.
Read Full Review >New York Daily News Elizabeth Weitzman
Stays firmly, depressingly, inside the lines.
Read Full Review >TV Guide Maitland McDonagh
So shallow and brainless it's in perpetual danger of drying up and blowing away.
Read Full Review >The New York Times Dana Stevens
The best thing that can be said about Boys and Girls is that it is studiously inoffensive.
Read Full Review >San Francisco Examiner Wesley Morris
There are episodes of "Rugrats" with stronger sexual suspense.
Read Full Review >Charlotte Observer Lawrence Toppman
Designed to appeal to people who thought "She's All That" was too mentally demanding.
Read Full Review >Miami Herald Charles Savage
May be among the most excruciating mainstream movies to spew forth from Hollywood in years.
Film.com Tom Keogh
It's insulting and devalues the experience of watching not just this film but all films.
Read Full Review >Austin Chronicle Kimberley Jones
A paint-by-numbers romantic comedy, but without the heart or laughs to make it work.
Read Full Review >Village Voice Nick Rutigliano
A cat-and-dog romantic squabbler so garbled you'd need a centrifuge to sort things out.
Read Full Review >Entertainment Weekly Lisa Schwarzbaum
This ill-fitting movie was mail-ordered from an out-of-date catalog of teen-com stereotypes.
Read Full Review >New York Post Lou Lumenick
Calling Boys and Girls the year's worst movie makes it sound more entertaining than it actually is.

Latassia K. gave it a 1:
I like freddie prinze jr. a lot yet the movie made me sick... had prinze not there i would have given it a '0'..
Eileen H. gave it a 1:
Anyone who can seriously give this movie a 10 needs to see more movies that don't have Freddie Prinze Jr. in them. Quickly.
Ian R. gave it a 10:
One of the best movies I have ever seen. Dont miss it!
Bence T. gave it a 10:
I think this was a great movie, because when we see such a film we don't even realise that it can be a real problem for Boys & Girls to find their love of life even if he/she is his/her best friend. So stop to think about love, just let the lightning strike. (Like in Meet Joe Black)
Ryan M. gave it a 0:
No jokes. No acting. No originality. But a little bit of recognition for the catering.
