A majority oriented movie that assumes sophisticated familiarity with a sexual minority.

Berlanti brings a smart, witty, mainstream style to his well-crafted picture, which surely enhances its crossover appeal.

The strength of the performances, along with the good will generated by these flawed but likable characters, carry the movie through.

A slice-of-life where being gay is a fact of daily existence, not an excuse for existential dilemmas or grand tragedies.

An undemanding and reassuring amiability that made it a crowd-pleaser at Sundance.

New York Post Jonathan Foreman

Turns out to be a choppily written, unevenly acted exercise, no less shlocky and predictable than any of Hollywood's average second-string heterosexual comedies.

The New York Times Dave Kehr

Emerges as an engaging if occasionally hokey inspirational melodrama about the importance of community in the face of life's disappointments.

This little serio-comedy contains absolutely nothing that warrants big-screen release. It's lit like TV, acted like TV and staged like TV.

Keith gave it an8:
This is one of those movies that sneaks into your heart in spite of any protesting you might offer. I found some of it clumsily done, especially the big death that happens near the end. I found this completely unnecessary, as if the screenwriter was trying to check off some list of things that must happen in a romantic comedy. The movie succeeds, though, largely because the characters (and actors, too) are so likable and the scenes among them have the chemistry of real friendships. I must admit, I put this movie on often, when I feel like settling into something comforting and with characters who I now regard as my own friends. Nothing earthshattering here, but it is pleasant, funny, big-hearted, and at times, true to life.

Matt M. gave it a 10:
I love this film! I completely disagree with any critics that say this film is worthless TV sit-com material. It has certaintly inspired my group of friends to be who they are, and admit that to themselves. The acting is brilliant (such a star studded cast too!). All in all a fabulous film which re-ignites hope in the face of its viewers. If your gay you CAN connect to this film. Hell you can if your straight! I hope they make a sequal!

Drew L. gave it a 9:
I think this movie was a very good movie b/c it shows the life of real people and thier problems and shows the lifestyle of peole who may be different. The actors were great and put an impact on the gay community and u dont have to be gay to watch the movie, its funny and keeps u waiting and guessing. Overall this is a good movie.

Lolo gave it a 10:
This film is verry funny.

Clint S. gave it a 10:
If it went any higher then 10 it would get a 3 million. I love this movie, and you dont hafta be gay to like it either, its human.

Don D. gave it a 10:
Loved it! I'd like to have it on DVD.
