(7.5) Sure it's not outstanding, but it ain't that bad either. I believe this film has been quite hardly done by, especially by critics upon its release. It may not be as fresh and witty and original as the first (few ever are!) but surely it is a genuine improvement on the tacky second. There may be a deficiency of side-splitting moments, but I found myself chuckling aloud several times while watching this film. It just has this good feel and atmosphere to it throughout, one that permeates to the viewer. If you watch it expecting something equal to or funnier than the original, you won't get it, but if you want a light, fun, feel-good comedy that won't tax your brain, this is a winner!

Hogan attempts to hang a spackling of his down-underisms in L.A. and call it art. It's innocent, mindless, and close to cute, but is never art. It's just a bare-bones plot with Hogan's mannerisms hung on display in case anyone's still interested.
