New York Post V.A. Musetto
For one thing, it goes on too long. But it looks good, the cast is perky.

Made with $980 and about as many brain cells, Cupid's Mistake is more cute than clever.
Read Full Review >TV Guide Ken Fox
Scenes are woefully under-rehearsed, and much of the obviously improvised dialogue would seem entirely random if it weren't so repetitive.

The acting is uneven and most of the romancing seems so mismatched.

At 70 minutes, Cupid's Mistake is short, but then, so is our time on this planet.

David C. gave it a 10:
I watched this film at Panam Univ theater, the film style is excellent and the storyline is very simple. The theme is something most people can relate to.
Jimmy K. gave it a 0:
Seriously, don't waste your time. I agree with Mr. Kehr.
Mike C. gave it a 10:
Pity poor Gil. He makes one girl cry because he DOESN't love her, and another girl cry because he DOES love her. It's a movie about vapid people who can't communicate, and relationships where no one relates. It's an "I love her, but she loves him, but he loves her..." chain-gang of young people searching. Each link passes the unrequited love bug on to the next without indulging in its joy along the way. Everybody is seeking something else. When lovely Toya tells Gil, "It's very unfair of you to tell me that you love me!" we sense the ghosts of many one-sided love affairs rising all around. It's a beautiful young cast of relative newcomers, in a film shot around the splendor of Venice Beach with virtually no script. Renegade filmmaking hasn't been this experimental since the 1960s. Korean-born director Young Man Kang let his cast get the feel of the situation, then improvise their scenes, with a variety of results. And did we mention this is essentially a light hearted story, not a soap opera?
Jaime G. gave it a 10:
This is a must see film for those who want something a bit different from the norm of American cinema. The story is excellent and very simple as is it something most people can relate to. The movie builds suspense when it is needed and kept me at the edge of my seat during some moments. The beautiful artwork and the music score go great with the whole storyline.
James B. gave it a 9:
The quadrangle behind Cupid's Mistake is well set up, the story solid and the acting as solid as you would expect from actual professionals.
Jerry P. gave it a 9:
A $980 budget, with improvisation by the principles in this love quadrangle, "CUPID'S MISTAKE" appears more real in its situations than a lot of the romantic dribble that has come out of Hollywood with enormous budgets.
Kimmy W. gave it a 1:
Terrible terrible terrible.
