A film that parents can confidently and with pleasure take their little ones to see - but which is not quite a good movie.

Whenever Voight steps to the forefront, A Dog of Flanders is poochy-keen; alas, the rest of the time it's doggedly dull.

This is a movie for younger children -- they won't notice that the children deliver their lines with all the conviction of an airline flight boarding announcement.

There were only two other people in the theater where I saw it, and they left within the first 10 minutes. I should have followed them out.

I blieve you should do more movies like that, I mean, when I saw it I learned that it doesnt matter what you have to fight for what you want, and I learned to appreciate the humbleness more than what I used to do.

Jocelyn B. gave it a 10:

Lisa gave it a 10:
I was flippin through HBO yesterday and it just happened to be on. I had never seen this movie before and decided to give it a try. Jeremy "Nello" is such a cutie and a great actor!! This movie made me cry, which is rare for me.

Shanon R. gave it a 10:
I LOVE IT! i know it's technically not the greatest and yes, it lacks sizzle etc.. but it's a kid's/family movie- gimme a break! i'm a 19 yr old male, art major, so for me it was inspirational and just hit the sweet spot... something about it..

J. X. gave it a 10:
