Film Threat Phil Hall
Rare vehicle which gives the Palestinian people (rather than their failed, double-talking leadership) an opportunity to speak freely and openly, and that feat in itself makes this one of the most important documentaries of recent times.
Read Full Review >Variety Deborah Young
Takes the viewer deep into the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with the powerful immediacy of raw images, some of them very hard to look at.
Read Full Review >TV Guide Ken Fox
Longley has constructed a remarkably coherent, horrifically vivid snapshot of those turbulent days.
Read Full Review >The New York Times Dana Stevens
Mr. Longley makes powerful use of the techniques of cinéma vérité. The absence of voice-over narration and talking-head interviews gives his portrait of daily life under duress a riveting immediacy.
Read Full Review >New York Post V.A. Musetto
While it is interesting to witness the conflict from the Palestinian side, Longley's film lacks balance (there's nothing from the Israeli perspective) and fails to put the struggle into meaningful historical context.

A documentary to make the stones weep -- as shameful as it is scary.

Fouzia gave it a 10:
An interesting perspective ommiting political jargon and reverting to what really matters...innocent lives. Heart breaking to see a 13 yr old lose all hope in the world and assume that death cannot be much worse than the life he has to live. Childhood should consist of playing with leggos, rather than breaking rocks to throw at tanks.
Bobbi S. gave it a 10:
Powerful and heart wrenching! More people need to be exposed to this perspective to counteract what is presented in the US media. Terrorism comes in many forms. Violence begets violence, begets retailiation, begets violence, begets terrorism, begets.
Yury O. gave it a 9:
I have seen a lot of movies about the Palestinian / Israel conflict, and this one is the best. BTW -- I don't understand why the Village Voice review is rated worse than the NY Post review -- that's obviously wrong.
