MPAA RATING: PG-13 for sequences of intense action violence, some frightening sci-fi images, and brief suggestive content
Starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell, and William Hurt
The Incredible Hulk kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular Super Heroes of all time. In the film, scientist Bruce Banner desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows—cut off form a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross—Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk’s creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as the Abomination, whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk’s own. This had some of the most greatest special effects! I do think though, this was as about as good as Iron Man, but not even close to The Dark Knight. The special effects aren't as good as Pans Labyrinth. It had some of the most amazing action scenes ever! Plot wasn't that good, it didn't really make sense at parts of the movie. But, it had nice action, in the end the point became clear, and the ending keeps you waiting!
Romeo Romance gave it an8:
Upgrade of Ang Lee's version. Edward Norton and Tim Roth raise the bar for sure.. with only one side character actor that attempts to sink the entire movie down with his "cartoon-ish" portrayal of someone who may or may not become "The Leader" in possible sequels... however besides that slight snare, and future CG improvements.. this movie defn' rocks the house. Especially more Marvel fans.. we may owe more than we think to the director for hounding the Marvel reps with good ideas of hero cross-overs and intertwined story's throughout the latest and soon to come super-hero movies, that have most (like myself) drooling at the possibilities.
Jay H. gave it a6:
Impressive special effects, great score and it is certainly well made. Good cast, but Liv Tyler is wasted. It was good, but it just didn't "wow" me like it should have.
David L gave it a9:
Loved Ang Lee's 2003 version of the Hulk .. dark, disturbing and intensely story driven.. something that most people just didn't get after Spider-Man set the bar for comic book hero movies. This movie is every bit as good as Ang Lee's but more fun and less serious tones. I'm still trying to decide which musical score I like better. This one or Danny Elfman's from the first film.. both are brilliant.
Andrew K. gave it an8:
Wow, Intense! I was gripping onto my arms during every fight scene!! I went into the movie not expecting much - especially after the 03 version. But wow, I was thoroughly entertained. Again, I loved the battle scenes.
Henry W. gave it a2:
I don't think I've ever seen such a boring movie.
Phil B. gave it a3:
Terrible, can't believe it received such positive reviews. The action was stilted, the script was appalling and the lead actress looked like she'd been to the plastic surgeon a few too many times, the nose and the upper lip. Worst movie I've seen in a long time, I love eddy norton, but this was atrocious.
