New Times (L.A.) Luke Y. Thompson

The movie gets bogged down in dull dialogue, despite some truly impressive special effects and a hilariously silly CG devil who closely resembles his counterpart from the PlayStation game Tekken 2.

LA Weekly Paul Malcolm

Ironically, for all the paranoia, York's Defiler and his henchman, an always game Udo Kier, are an oasis of wit in an otherwise parched, self-serious script.

Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas

What's wrong with Megiddo is not its good-versus-evil theme but the clunky, unpersuasive manner in which it has been expressed.

Barely even worthy of a straight-to-video release, as simplistic and silly as it is.

Once the action starts to kick in, Megiddo morphs, minute by minute and scene by scene, into a Mystery Science Theater smorgasbord.

Jay C. gave it an8:
Ok this film is nice. The view, rome, and some painting of great artist you will see. Stone a good a actor in the film. He plays the devil, verry good. The film shows that the devil has a power to kill those who opposes him but not all. In the last part he didn't expect that the chinese will blast him instead of joining him. Because the devil is not omniscience. I didn't like that the US is the only the Hero.

Ralph gave it a1:
That was bad. I was expecting it not to be great but this was shocking. Poor acting, a story with huge holes and unexplained events. The ending was absolutely terrible. It was like watching the A-team play out armegeddon. Ambitituous ideas, not even budget and not enough skill and vision to pull it off. Don't bother. Honestly.

Sane gave it a0:
The only thing that stinks worse than a movie like this is the fact that the US empire (its true hero) is full of people who actually believe it!

Osnek N. gave it a0:
Guys, this film is NOT a Christian propaganda... This is propaganda of the US-Imperialism in sheep furr of fundamentalistic Christian propaganda ;))) Have you ever seen Christ in this movie? Would a Christian organisation make a film without Christ, may it be even ultrafundamentalistic??

Rjones2818 gave it a 4:
OK...It's better than the Omega Code. It was interesting that the Chinese were shown as good guys. York was ok. It's a bad movie, but not as bad as it could be.

Apocalypse gave it an 8:
I liked the movie very much, exept the last part. Why did the winged demon (satan) didn't use his godlike powers on the enemy troops, and why did he not kill his brother? He just stood there, watching how his army died because of the light. I wanted to give the movie a 10, but the last part of the movie was just very bad. But still this movie is worth watching!

Stef gave it a 1:
Fundamendalistic Christian Propaganda. In the end, god kills all the bad people and all is good. Hello? The belief system is a total analogy to islamic fundamentalism. In addition to those questionable motives, the script is horribly bad, the actors stink, and it's overall one of the worst movies you can choose to see.
