New York Post Lou Lumenick
Shallow and blatantly manipulative variation on "Awakenings" in which every plot development is telegraphed.
Read Full Review >Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas
It is moving and has been well-crafted with much care.
Read Full Review >TV Guide Ken Fox
For all its sensitivity, the film abounds with movie cliches about the developmentally challenged.
Read Full Review >LA Weekly Stefan Thiel
This movie's already been entertaining (or boring) airline passengers for months.
Read Full Review >The New York Times Stephen Holden
(Shue's) sweetly likable performance is the only coherent element in a film that has the impersonal feel of a television drama slapped together in a rush.
Read Full Review >Christian Science Monitor David Sterritt
Shallow and sentimental in the sappiest Hollywood tradition.
Read Full Review >Mr. Showbiz Kevin Maynard
It's a sugar rush that'll leave you feeling like a rotten cavity.

Chris J. gave it a 9:
As a father of an autistic boy I must say that Elisbeth Shue´s acting is very impressive. I thought she was very believable and this movie moved me a lot.
KJ Taylor gave it a 1:
Speaking as someone who has a form of Autism (Asperger's Syndrome; look it up), I have to say I didn't find the main character terribly interesting. But the real reason I didn't like the movie was just because it's extremely boring.
Randall S. gave it a 9:
This was one of my favorite movies of all times. I don't think it deserves the low score that it got.
Marco I. gave it an 8:
Maybe it is similar to "Awakening", maybe it's nothing new, but Elizabeth Sue acting is impressive! This film is quite delicious and impressed me a lot.
