After that first second we quit wondering: This is magic, after all, so who wants to know where Henson is?

Jim Henson, Muppet originator, and Frank Oz, creative consultant, have abandoned the successful format of their vidshow, and inserted their creations into a well-crafted combo of musical comedy and fantasy adventure.

Cute without being insipid, funny without being childish, The Muppet Movie contains enough magic to please all ages.

It's also very well written by Jerry Juhl and Jack Burns and directed by James Frawley ("Kid Blue," "The Big Bus") with a comic touch that never becomes facetious.

Enzo P. gave it a7:
The Muppet Movie makes this movie a lot more then one genre. This movie has car chasing scenes, songs and laugh out loud jokes. Director James Frawley makes this film unique and clever makes you want to keep watching it. but if you look on the negative side for this film the ending was stupid I was expecting a better ending but it was still clever. Another thing about this film that I didn't like is that they forced lots of Muppet to be in the movie they just keep coming when will they stop! But one thing that really was smart to to do is they put lots of great actors as guest stars. Like Orson Welles, Steve Martin, Mel Brooks, Bob Hope and much more. So overall you should see The Muppet Movie.
