Entertainment Weekly Owen Gleiberman
A big, fat, juicy spitball lobbed, with mostly dead-on aim, at the teen-smarm clichés that have accumulated like so much earwax over the last three years.
Read Full Review >Boston Globe Jonathan Perry
A clever satire that's layered like a breakfast club sandwich with sly in-jokes, sight gags, gross-out scenes, and, of course, requisite bathroom humor.
The New York Times Dana Stevens
A happy, nasty and frequently hilarious assault on 20 years' worth of youth pictures.

It is obvious that the creative forces did not take the film to seriously and if you do not, you just might find yourself laughing along.

Though it isn't so much funny as clever, the parody will hopefully discourage some aspiring teen-movie makers from doing the same old thing.

Occasionally funny but ultimately desperate comedy.

To spend 82 minutes watching Not Another Teen Movie would be a reckless waste of your time, no matter how many decades you may have to burn.

A raunchy romp through the peeping-Tomism, potty humor, raging hormones and social humiliation that are standard issue in the Hollywood high-school sex comedy.

It can't help but fall prey itself to a final deadly genre cliché: Its soundtrack outsparkles the movie.

This scattershot comedy (which might be called "irreverent" if anyone actually revered movies like AMERICAN PIE) features vulgar gags at the expense of recent youth-oriented pictures.

Some routines are funny, it must be said. But more often than not, you'll be groaning with painful recognition rather than actually laughing.

Formless, feckless, mindless, directionless and at times stunningly humorless.
New York Post Jonathan Foreman
Toomuch of the humor in Not Another Teen Movie is either lame (the school in the movie is called "John Hughes High") or lamely disgusting.

By the time a member of teen-movie royalty makes a cameo in the film's finale, Not Another Teen Movie has long exhausted any hope of succeeding. Instead it becomes, well, just another teen movie.
Read Full Review >LA Weekly Ron Stringer
Of course, this is just another teen movie -- with tons of dick jokes that don't know when to quit, and buckets of realistic-looking "excrement" splattered all over its "juvenile" cast, and even a couple of gags that actually fly.

That's not to say there aren't funny moments here. There are. Two, maybe three of them. But unless you're a hearty 14-year-old -- who of course is not supposed to be seeing this R-rated movie -- it's hardly worth fishing them out of the potty humor and repulsive sex talk.

The cleverness begins and ends at the basic fact that it is being done. Really, it would be much more fun just to rent one of the originals.

Aiming to break the land speed record for poop 'n' piss jokes.

If there is a Hell, Not Another Teen Movie will be playing for all eternity on every screen there.

It took five men to concoct the hackneyed plot and conceive the brainless jokes that constitute Not Another Teen Movie, meaning there are five men in Los Angeles right now still trying to wash that stink off their soft, idle hands.
Read Full Review >San Francisco Chronicle Mick LaSalle
Proves that it's possible to make a movie so tasteless and so crude that audiences don't laugh. This is worthwhile information. It means there's a limit.

Gabor A. gave it an8:
I'm usually a harsh critic, but this movie is great. Movies like this prove critics are huge ubber nerds. 3 zeros. Meanwhile Y Tu Mama, which is a crappy teen sex romp gets a bunch of 100's cuz well its in Spanish and some lame voice over at the end adds superficial drama to an airless movie . Come on. Of course some of the jokes fail. Of course Not another Teen Movie is just another teen movie. You critics are so clever with that one. This movie is also hilarious. A great parody.
Sam gave it a5:
Though it tries to make you think that it's spoofing teen comedies, the movie has unfortunatley become the very thing it sought to destroy.
luke s. gave it a10:
I hope they make anoter one this movie is so funny thats why i give it a 10.
Pon R. gave it a7:
Sorry. I'm going to have to disagree with critics on this one. Yes, many of the jokes were heavy-handed and over-the-top, but many more were spot on and hit their satirical targets with surprising accuracy. Too much fun to dismiss.
Dave C. gave it a 5:
It's all very hit and miss, unfortunately the bad jokes are REALLY bad. A sequence involving human excrment spraying everywhere doesn't even begin to describe how horrible it gets. On the other hand, its lampooning of teen movie cliches are a lot of fun to watch, if long overdue and terribly obvious. Overall, there are plenty of gags here to make it worth watching, if spoofs are to your taste.
Ayi gave it a 10:
I could only ask for another "not another teen movie"... Ü
Bob U. gave it a 0:
WORST. MOVIE. EVER.
