RATING: R for strong bloody violence, sexual content/nudity and language
Starring Simon Baker, Paz Vega, Chloe Moretz, and Claire Forlani
Jack Bishop lives the life of every man’s dream with a beautiful wife and a happy, healthy daughter, Toby. He has the career he always wanted and a loving home in a peaceful Texas border town. But it is no coincidence that Jack’s life seems perfect. His past hides a black secret, one he hides from his family, one he hides from himself. When Toby goes missing, Jack knows his past has come back to haunt him. He also knows the only way he can find her is to use the powers of his long forgotten faith, La Santa Muerte, protectors of the sinner, the worshippers of the dead. (Anchor Bay Entertainment)

The Hollywood Reporter Kirk Honeycutt
The cast sparkles especially Simon Baker, a sturdy leading-man type, who is primed to break through any day now, and Paz Vega, already a star in Latin market.

Despite teasing hints of supernatural influences throughout much of the storyline, Not Forgotten satisfies as a solidly crafted and persuasively acted thriller that relies more on dark secrets than black magic.

The film moves swiftly and vividly, but in retrospect, numerous plot holes come to mind. Not Forgotten presents a fascinating microcosm but ultimately loses believability when placed in a larger context.

A lurid yet plodding thriller, bobs to the surface in theaters, most likely to the chagrin of the now very hot Simon Baker.

If the film's first two-thirds are dreary and preposterous, give Soref credit for a truly -- what's the proper cinematic terminology? -- batshit-crazy finale involving demented religious sects, ridiculously bloody face-offs and a gaggle of cross-dressing Mexican prostitutes.

A film that could have been memorably haunting is, sadly, all too forgettable

If the film's first two-thirds are dreary and preposterous, give Soref credit for a truly--what's the proper cinematic terminology?--batshit-crazy finale.

None of it makes any sense, but it is just nutty enough to provide a few (entirely unintended) laughs.
