Christian Science Monitor David Sterritt

This is an op-ed polemic, and it's refreshing to see one so skillfully produced by filmmakers with a shoestring budget and meager access to mainstream distribution. A must-see movie, no matter what your politics are.

The fourth documentary screed this summer to have grown out of the left's frustration with the nation's turn to the right. Keep 'em coming, I say.

A hardly fair, not especially balanced broadside that has the advantage of being correct.

Chicago Reader Jonathan Rosenbaum

While largely effective, Greenwald's documentary is not a complete success.

LA Weekly Hazel-Dawn Dumpert

The result is a fast-paced, brilliantly edited indictment that's as hard to turn away from as it is infuriating to watch. The irony, of course, is that Greenwald deploys the tricks of the trade every bit as knowingly as the evil geniuses at Fox.

Austin Chronicle Marc Savlov

Greenwald's doc is pure partisan warfare of the liberal stripe, to be sure, but that doesn't make it any less disturbing.

Partially financed by the liberal Move On.org, speaks most eloquently when it lets Fox News do the talking.

Village Voice Ed Halter

Already a top-selling DVD thanks to PR support from moveon.org, numerous media outlets, political blogs, and even Doonesbury, Outfoxed argues that Fox News's pro-Republican bias is top-down.

When those talking heads metamorphose into familiar ranting heads, it becomes another mesmerizing right-wing horror show.

Variety David Rooney

The film lacks the accompanying media spotlight that boosted the Moore release and therefore appears unlikely to reach beyond a liberal audience with an already vehement aversion to Fox News' partisan coverage.

The New York Times Dana Stevens

Outfoxed will inevitably be discussed in the same breath (or with the same hyperventilating rage) as Michael Moore's ''Fahrenheit 9/11,'' but it lacks both the showmanship and the scope of that incendiary film.

Salon.com Andrew O'Hehir

When you watch Greenwald's barrage of pirated Fox News footage -- his filmmaking techniques are clearly testing the outer limits of the "fair use" doctrine, and may yet land him in court -- it's an overwhelming experience well beyond the hoot-inducing moments.

Los Angeles Times Kenneth Turan

Keeps its filmmakers behind the camera and does without the personality-driven "Fahrenheit's" sarcastic sense of humor.

Film Threat Phil Hall

In throwing hatchets at Murdoch and his silly Fox network while pretending the rest of the media world is fine and objective, the film comes across as a shrill, one-note slam against a very easy target.

This furious finger-pointer's doc is so one-sided, it undermines its own integrity.

Jmes B. gave it a10:
A compelling and, no doubt, accurate look how the FOX NEWS channel does business. Entertaining and very funny at times, this is a must-see for regular viewers of 24 hour cable news. As another reviewer noted, the people that really need to watch this will not. Even if you are a venomous left-wing liberal who feels that you do need to see this, go ahead and watch it anyway. Why should you sleep better than me?

Dave M. gave it a9:
A great film for any proud democratic, or should i say non-republican!

Mark gave it a 9:
I think their description of varying techniques used by Fox News Corporation to undermine the integrity of "real" journalism is very useful for those who don't know much about mass media. Also, if you get a chance, go to the review by Megan Lehmann of the New York Post. it's interesting to note that she fails to mention she's doing this review on Rupert Murdoch's Payroll (Since he owns the New York Post). A little more "fair and balanced" from her too, eh?

Jay G gave it a 10:
Documentaries have to be non-biased?? Another right-wing talking point coming at you. A documentary is an interpretation of facts or events by the film maker. But don't let that stop The NY Post from giving it a 25, after all The NY Post is owned by Murdoch, the same Aussie immigrant who own Fox. Outfoxed blows the lid on the obvious stance Faux has taken since birth, THE mouth piece for the GOP. Of course you would do well to ignore ALL CORPORATE media outlets.

Anthony P. gave it a 3:
I find it ironic that FOX News was accused of being one-sided. Outfoxed should "show the way" by being truely fair and balanced, yet it was produced and contributed by only the most extreme left people in America (i.e Cronkite, Franken, MoveOn.org). FOX News is mainly commentary anyway, which means free speech. And since a vast majority of the news media is left of center, what's the problem with having FOX News? If you don't like it, switch to ABC. Only when FOX News gained too much popularity did the fearful liberals sense a "need" for this bias muck.

Annie P gave it a 9:
This is a thoughful film that played this friday to an almost full house. Could the word of mouth be responsible? It looked like it was made on a shoestring!

Greg A gave it a 10:
The only bad thing about this documentary is that not enough people will see it.
