New York Post Lou Lumenick
Laugh-out-loud comedies are so rare that you shouldn't casually pass up Super Troopers, which is essentially a smarter and much funnier version of the old "Police Academy" flicks.
Read Full Review >New York Daily News Jami Bernard
There's a thin line between smart-stupid and just plain stupid, and Super Troopers walks it with ease.
Seattle Post-Intelligencer Ellen A. Kim
The cast, collectively a successful example of the lovable-loser protagonist, shows deft comic timing, particularly Chandrasekhar, who wrings laughs just by his reaction to the locals' racist remarks.

With no greater ambition than reworking the Police Academy movies, Broken Lizard comes up with a winning formula: one part laughs to two parts goodwill.
Read Full Review >Boston Globe Nick A. Zaino III
Broken Lizard has a way to go to match the absurdity and conceptual genius of Monty Python or Kids in the Hall, but Super Troopers has promising moments of oddity.
Read Full Review >Chicago Sun-Times Roger Ebert
Plays like it was directed as a do-it-yourself project, following instructions that omitted a few steps, and yet the movie has an undeniable charm.
Read Full Review >Chicago Reader Lisa Alspector
Though there's a crime to be solved, a romance to go awry, and lots of trooper-police politics to elaborate on, the strangely drawn out pacing somehow feels fresh rather than oppressive.
Read Full Review >Variety David Rooney
A fairly sustained barrage of broad undergraduate humor and gross-out gags that should tickle young auds looking for unsophisticated laughs.
Read Full Review >Film Threat Michael Dequina
Luckily, the genuinely funny jokes far outnumber the duds in the film itself, which is helped by the generally energetic performances by Broken Lizard and their co-stars.
Read Full Review >Austin Chronicle Kimberley Jones
The exceedingly silly Super Troopers is an earnest, mostly funny spoof.
Read Full Review >Baltimore Sun Chris Kaltenbach
Puerile, offensive, degrading, dumb, pointless, insipid and may just well be a harbinger for the end of Western civilization as we know it. But I laughed. Sorry.
Rolling Stone Peter Travers
Broken Lizard does it with a shit-faced integrity that's worth a salute.
Read Full Review >Village Voice Mark Holcomb
Close enough in spirit to its freewheeling trash-cinema roots to be a breath of fresh air.
Read Full Review >Washington Post Desson Thomson
The best thing about the movie is its personable, amusing cast, all members of the five-man comedy troupe Broken Lizard. There's a chemistry among them, which obviously comes from having been together as comedians at Colgate University.

Fans of cheesy '70s TV shows will also be pleased by Wonder Woman Lynda Carter's brief cameo appearance as the governor of Vermont.
Read Full Review >Chicago Tribune Mark Caro
Manages to leave the impression that it was funny even though most of its jokes don't score.
Read Full Review >The Globe and Mail (Toronto) Jason Anderson
When Farva sees O'Hagan in civilian wear -- a denim jacket and blue jeans -- he asks his boss, "Where'd you get the Canadian tuxedo?" Such moments may not be as exciting as the sight of Homer Simpson at the CN Tower, but they'll do.

Begins so well that it's painful to watch it degenerate into tried-and-true frat-boy humor.
Read Full Review >New Times (L.A.) Luke Y. Thompson
It's technically a well-made film: Chandrasekhar, who directed, gives it the look of a studio feature on a sizably smaller budget. It's just the script that betrays its cast.
Read Full Review >Philadelphia Inquirer Steven Rea
The thing about stoner comedy is that, well, it helps to be stoned.
Read Full Review >Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas
There's nothing super about Super Troopers except for those deep into the low end of the frat-house mentality that equates smart-alecky with hilarity.
Read Full Review >The New York Times Dana Stevens
Bad and tasteless. You laugh neither with it nor at it but rather sit counting the minutes while the movie laughs, for no good reason, at itself.

Non-stop laughing
Ronnie D. gave it a1:
If i wanted to sit through two hours of people trying to convince me that they're funnier than they actually are, i'd go down to the local improv theatre.
Wesley E. gave it a9:
The opening scene is priceless. See this movie.
Christopher S. gave it a10:
Super Troopers gets funnier every time I watch it. Like a drug, it becomes addictive after repeated viewings. With every viewing I find something new to laugh at.
N. H. gave it a9:
Anyone who gave this movie less than a 5 either hates cops, or has no sense of humor. This is a hilarious movie. Knowing cops the way I do it's likely based on a true story too! The snosberries taste like snosberries!
Jan j gave it a1:
This movie only gets a 1/10 because it has a funny opening scene. After that it's all very unfunny with horrible acting.
Craig M. gave it a10:
Best movie since the Big Labowski. If you see it once and do not like it watch it again and again. It get funnier everytime. This movie is great.
