83 '71 Watch Trailer
In this tense and gripping thriller from early this year, Jack O’Connell (Starred Up, Unbroken) gives another strong performance as a British soldier who is abandoned by his unit following a riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971. Yann Demange’s well-reviewed feature directorial debut, written by Gregory Burke, follows his struggle to survive the night.
52 Maggie Watch Trailer
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as a desperate father who will stop at nothing to save his daughter (Abigail Breslin) after she is infected by a zombie virus in this low-budget thriller from another first-time director, Henry Hobson. Critics noted the film's small scale and grim tone, with some finding it a bit too ponderous to be entertaining.
73 Slow West Watch Trailer
Set at the end of the 19th century, the film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee as Jay Cavendish, a 16-year-old boy on a journey across the American frontier in search of the woman he loves (Caren Pistorius). He's joined by a mysterious traveler (Michael Fassbender) while being pursued by an outlaw (Ben Mendelsohn). When it premiered at Sundance in January, writer-director John Maclean’s debut feature won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize.
51 Woman in Gold Watch Trailer
My Week with Marilyn director Simon Curtis returns with a true-story tale of an elderly Holocaust survivor (Helen Mirren) who spends a decade fighting to recover a Gustav Klimt painting stolen from her aunt by the Nazis. Reviewers were lukewarm about the feature, which also stars Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Brühl, and Tatiana Maslany.

78 Clouds of Sils Maria Watch Trailer
This English-language drama from Olivier Assayas (Carlos, Summer Hours) stars Juliette Binoche as a legendary film actress who returns to the play that first made her famous, only to find her original role taken by a much younger actress (Chloe Grace Moretz). Co-star Kristen Stewart, who plays her assistant Val, became the first American actress to win a César (France’s equivalent of the the Oscars) thanks to a strong performance that also earned praise from American critics.
78 Ex Machina Watch Trailer
The directorial debut for screenwriter (and frequent Danny Boyle collaborator) Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine) is an idea-heavy, sci-fi thriller about artificial intelligence. Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, and a much-praised Alicia Vikander—whose performance is the highlight of the film for many critics—star in a film that is almost play-like in its reliance on limited locations and characters. The movie also features original music by Portishead's Geoff Barrow and his frequent collaborator Ben Salisbury.
[FRI 7/17] Heaven Adores You Watch Trailer
Late singer-songwriter Elliott Smith is profiled in a new documentary from filmmaker Nickolas Rossi. The emphasis here is on Smith's music and the three cities where he lived and worked: Portland, New York City, and Los Angeles. This new home video release adds an hour of interviews to the version that screened in theaters earlier this year.
83 It Follows Watch Trailer
One of the best-reviewed horror films to come along in years, this second film from The Myth of the American Sleepover director David Robert Mitchell stars Maika Monroe (The Guest) as Jay, who, after her first sexual encounter, learns that something will follow her until she’s killed or until she passes it on to someone else through sex. What it is, nobody knows, but Jay and her friends try to find a way to escape it.
13 Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 Watch Trailer
Thanks to FIFA and Tom Six, it's not the worst movie of 2015. But it's close. The second and hopefully final film in the Mall Blart duology finds Kevin James’ titular Blart heading to Vegas to attend a security guard convention with his college-bound daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez). There, he stumbles on a heist led by Neal McDonough’s Vincent. Critics described the second film as a "garbage burger" and a "lazy, witless, laugh-free experience," though not as much fun as that implies.
51 Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Watch Trailer
It is, indeed, the second-best Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movie. Apparently lacking a bit of the charm of the original is this still not unpleasant sequel from director John Madden that returns much of the first film's cast (sans Tom Wilkinson) and adds Richard Gere, David Strathairn, and Tamsin Greig.
X-Men: Days of Future Past—The Rogue Cut
That extra subtitle is your first clue that this is not the same version of last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past that screened in theaters (and already came to DVD/Blu-ray). Instead, The Rogue Cut adds over 10 minutes to the original film's running time (as well as an extra 90 minutes of bonus features), including new scenes with Anna Paquin's Rogue as well as some extra scenes with stars Jennifer Lawrence and Nick Hoult. Comic Con audiences will get a chance to see the new version in its entirety prior to its home video release.

44 Wild Horses Watch Trailer
In a slow week for home video, the closest thing to a major release is Robert Duvall's first directorial effort since 2003's Assassination Tango. The drama stars Duvall as the patriarch of a Texas family that may be implicated in a 15-year-old murder. James Franco and Josh Hartnett also star in a film that critics found disjointed and half-baked.
