▣ Beauty and the Beast Trailers
Disney’s latest remake offers a (mostly) live-action version of the story from the 1991 animated film. Directed by Bill Condon (Dreamgirls), the new Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast. Though it features three new songs and a new backstory for our heroine, much remains the same from the first film, which critics liked far better than this one. The strong supporting cast includes Kevin Kline as Belle's father, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
▣ A Cure for Wellness Trailers
Gore Verbinski’s eclectic career has included family (Mousehunt), romantic comedy (The Mexican), horror (The Ring), drama (The Weather Man), animation (Rango) and major franchise action-adventure films (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Lone Ranger). He returns to horror with this middling tale of a young executive (Dane DeHaan) sent to retrieve his company's CEO from a wellness center in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa's treatments are not what they seem, unraveling a terrifying secret.
▣ Land of Mine Trailers
This Danish drama centers on a group of German POWs forced to clear land mines from the Danish coast at the end of WWII. It's based on a previously untold true story, and written and directed by Martin Zandvliet (Applause).
▣ A United Kingdom Trailers
Like her previous film, Belle, director Amma Asante’s latest is a true story. Based on Susan William’s book Colour Bar, the film chronicles the interracial romance of Seretse Khama (David Oyelowo), a Prince of Bechuanaland (now Botswana), and Ruth Williams (Rosamund Pike). Some critics praised the chemistry between Oyelowo and Pike, as well as the film’s heartfelt and direct approach to its story.

▣ John Wick: Chapter 2 Trailers
Revenge thriller John Wick was a surprise hit in 2014. The surprise of this first sequel? It may be even better. Keanu Reeves returns as the title character, a retired assassin who heads to Rome when a former associate plots to seize control of the international assassins’ guild. Chad Stahelski, co-director on the first film, flies solo this time, and Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, and Bridget Moynahan all return in supporting roles. New players include Reeves’ Matrix mentor Laurence Fishburne, Common, Riccardo Scamario, Ruby Rose, Franco Nero, and John Leguizamo.
▣ The LEGO Batman Movie Trailers
Can Will Arnett’s egocentric Batman, a supporting character in the 2014 hit The LEGO Movie, carry his own film? Critics—and over $300 million in grosses—say yes. In his own movie, the Caped Crusader has to battle the Joker (voiced by Zach Galifianakis), but he has plenty of help. Batman’s adopted son, Robin (Michael Cera), wants to be a vigilante superhero just like his dad, and Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) and Barbara Gordon/Batgirl (Rosario Dawson) are ready to fight as well.
▣ Neruda Trailers
The second film from Chilean director Pablo Larraín to screen late last year, Neruda failed to receive an Oscar nomination like his first (Jackie, his English-language debut), though it was nominated for a Golden Globe. The biopic follows poet Pablo Neruda (Luis Gnecco) in post-WWII Chile as he’s hounded by a persistent police inspector played by Gael García Bernal.
▣ Prevenge Trailers
The directorial debut for Alice Lowe, this violent British horror comedy follows a pregnant woman (played by Lowe herself) on a killing spree. Critics seem to like it, calling it "savage" and "nasty" despite a few inconsistencies.
▣ Table 19 Trailers
After starring in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Anna Kendrick re-teams with her Rocket Science director, Jeffrey Blitz, for another (but less raunchy and less successful) wedding comedy. Written by Jay and Mark Duplass, Table 19 also features Craig Robinson, June Squibb, Stephen Merchant, Wyatt Russell, Lisa Kudrow, and Tony Revolori.

▣ Life Trailers
In the latest variant on the Alien formula (not counting the actual latest Alien film), crew members aboard the International Space Station begin experimenting with a potential extraterrestrial organism collected by a Mars probe. Needless to say, it doesn't go well. Daniel Espinosa's (Safe House) sci-fi thriller stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Ferguson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ariyon Bakare, and Olga Dihovichnaya.
▣ Wilson Trailers
Based on Daniel Clowes’ graphic novel, the latest comedy from The Skeleton Twins director Craig Johnson stars Woody Harrelson as a neurotic and (maybe too) honest middle-aged misanthrope who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and learns he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara) he has never met. Critics find the adaptation uneven at best, and mostly a waste of a talented cast.

▣ CHiPS Trailers
Michael Peña and Dax Shepard (who also writes and directs) star as Frank “Ponch” Poncherello and Jon Baker in this big-screen version of the popular 1970’s TV show of the same name. As members of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Los Angeles, Ponch and Jon are tasked with catching a gang of bike-riding bank robbers who might be members of their force. It's one of the biggest duds of the year so far, both critically and commercially.
▣ Power Rangers Trailers
This reboot of the Power Rangers franchise (based on the 1990s children's TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) follows five ordinary teenagers who must embrace their special powers (with the help of Bryan Cranston’s Zordon) when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove is threatened by an alien force. Directed by Dean Israelite (Project Almanac), the film stars Naomi Scott, Becky G., Ludi Lin, RJ Cyler, and Dacre Montgomery as the Rangers, Bill Hader as the voice of Alpha 5, and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa.
▣ T2: Trainspotting Trailers
Director Danny Boyle reunites the cast of the 1996 cult hit Trainspotting (including Ewan McGregor, Johnny Lee Miller, Ewen Bremner, and Robert Carlyle) for this sequel set 20 years later. Screenwriter John Hodge loosely adapts Irvine Welsh’s sequel novel, Porno, but the result is a bit of a disappointment, striking critics as mostly unnecessary and derivative.
