New on Metacritic: Must-See Movies

Our newest designation

Metacritic Must-SeeIn our ongoing efforts to help our users pick out the very best in entertainment at a glance, we have added a "Must-See" designation for our highest-scoring movies, representing those films deemed by a consensus of top critics as truly exceptional.

We designate a movie as "Must-See" when it achieves a Metascore of 81 or higher and has been reviewed by a minimum of 15 professional critics. You'll notice our new badge (pictured, right) on films meeting these requirements throughout the site.

How elite are these films? It turns out that only around 5% of movies in Metacritic's database qualify for "Must-See" status.

Here are the films released so far in 2018 that qualify as Must-See:

@ahmedaiman9999 LOL the score is an average of 15 or more critics. Not Metacritic's opinion.

It would be really cool if we can have special pages with list of these must-see movies by every year or some other kind of navigation through them

The thing that bothers me is your score for Zootopia. Really, it deserves only 78!!!!
